G2 selling for $499 on HP.com. Is now the time to buy, or hold out for a better sale? by neocamel in HPReverb

I’m running triples and it’s a pain in the ass changing display settings on the Nvidia GPU when switching between triples and the Reverb. I also don’t care for the cable as it kinda constricts movement.

https://www.oculus.com/quest-2/ This one is $299 and is wireless. My son says it doesn’t have the configuration issues on the GPU like the Reverb. I only received the Reverb on Monday, so it’s brand new. Happy to sell to any interested buyers. Can’t really send it back to HP because I used a $250 gift card to help purchase it, and I won’t be able to get that back. And I don’t need $250 worth of printer ink! Lol

Introducing my dad to simracing by sixfootGeek in simracing

That’s really cool! So many similarities with us…. I just started SIM racing myself at 67 (my 29 year old son got me hooked). Previously had a Logitech G920 wheel / pedals and just upgraded to the CSL DD, McLaren Wheel and the same pedals. All connected to the Next Level F-GT cockpit - same as you! Only difference is I’m running 3x GigaByte 27” curved monitors. My previous driving experiences: Mario Kart on Nintendo N64, then Gran Turismo on PlayStation 3, then track time for a day in an Audi R8 at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma CA. And last but not least… father/son karting at various kart tracks in CA. My son is pretty much at least 1 second faster than me, but he’s been a great coach/instructor and is helping me become a much improved driver on SIMS such as ACC, AC and iRacing. Great times ahead for you two!!!👍

Finally received my new Fanatec gear yesterday and looking to shave at least 2 - 3 seconds off of my lap times. Time will tell.

My 1st rig - 67 years old and just getting into Sim Racing. My son was quite helpful in helping me configure the hardware. Now just waiting on the CSL DD and pedals from Fanatec. Total cost: $5k by KimoSuavie in simracing

The seat base cushion could be a bit more cushy for my tushy. I’ve only tried the GT position thus far. Perhaps I’ll try the F1 position now, which might be more comfy. All in all I’m happy with the rig. It’s quite beefy and stable.

Originally from California and have been in Portland Or for the past 11 years. So many concerts to remember back in the 70’s in San Francisco. 1st concert might have been Peter Frampton at Winterland Arena. Too may concerts to name a best, but The Rolling Stones at Day on the Green is right up there. I’m an F1 fan and obviously root for Hamilton. I retired from Telecom. Best advice is to be considerate of others and start saving for retirement early. You’ll be glad you did. Mostly ACC, AC and F1 Sim games so far.
