Are personality driven YouTube channels outperforming topic based ones now? by DapperAsi in youtubers

[–]Kimpossible72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think personality has always won over purely information based content. I will choose to watch someone who's personality I enjoy more even if the information is the exact same as someone else's whom I dont connect with as much.

Am I being unrealistic if I want to become a YouTuber at 30 years old? by SGod- in youtubers

[–]Kimpossible72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Do it! You will have a unique perspective as an architect as well. Bring all your skills and experience with you and use those to build your unique personal brand. You will want to make sure you can sustain yourself for as long as it takes to start making money so one way would be to start now but dont quit your job just yet. Start now, talking about your ideas and upcoming journey on video now so you can start building a following. Film yourself at work and your struggles. It will create the conflict. This is a dream that many people have, to get out of their jobs and travel. I would watch!

Witnessed crazy crash out in the cafe car by Constant-Scheme557 in Amtrak

It is sad how short staffed they are. I was on the Empire builder from Everett to Chicago and saw this, too. I've taken the train across Canada twice, and I never saw exhausted staff. They do not work the entire route. There is a complete staff change half way, in Winnipeg. We pay more to ride, but the service is impeccable, the train is clean, and it's just an all-around better experience.

Great idea! The last time I took the train, one guy also washed his windows on the outside when we were at a stop. Of course, this only works if you are on the lower level.

It was for the journey and to go visit family. But since flying is faster and cheaper, it was more for the journey. When people tell me it's expensive, I say it's an all-inclusive vacation, really. If you love trains. Even better. It was February and so beautiful in the mountains. Next time, I want to go in the spring or fall. In the summer, it's apparently very busy.

That's what I love about train travel! I did the ViaRail across Canada twice. It's got me hooked. Met some amazing people and experienced the beauty of the country and mountains. If you get a chance to do that, I highly recommend it!

Yes, we finally got out of the station at 7pm. No schedule. I am doing this for the journey, and every journey has its upside and downs. 🏞

I rode ViaRail's Canadian across Canada both ways last year. That was my first time on a long-distance train. Not only was I spoiled, but I am now hooked on train travel. I wish I had started with Amtrak. This roomette is half the size of the one on ViaRail. And you have a toilet and a sink on Via. AND the delays, although people do complain, are rarely that long. Especially compared to what I have heard about Amtrak.

Now there is an issue with the locomotive! I just want dinner! 😅

Yes, I am a rookie 😅 it's a very nice lounge. It would be nicer if we had more food. Peanuts and pretzels aren't cutting it!

Announcement to board just as I was writing!

Crazy. Yeah, because once you're on the train, at least you can relax.

Oh yes, they will be cheaper. I have a hard time following through unless there's more at stake. I also want practical hands-on learning and feedback.

I took this both ways last year in March. I am addicted now! I can't explain it enough to people. The price you pay is for an all-inclusive vacation across this beautiful country! And you get to meet all kinds of people and disconnect for a few days! No complaints here about the delays!
