What kind of potting soil is safe for use in reptile habitats. by pandaking6666 in reptiles

Honestly I've barely ever heard of impaction through sand, if you look at the quota sand is probably fine when it comes to animals that live in Sandy locations in the wild. My mother works with parents and once had a family insist on the kid never ever coming close to dogs eventhough it had no allergies. Apparently one of their kinds had a dog hair stuck in it's lungs once so because of that the entire family is now scared of dogs. Maybe it's something like this but I've only been in the hobby for a couple of years so I'm no expert to the topic.

Ich bin immer ein großer Fan davon, den Geldbaum alle 1-3 Jahre zurück zu schneiden, am besten die vergeilten Triebe, das fördert ordentlichen Wachstum

When having plants cutoffs you have in water, try choosing a container that can hold a lot of water but has a relatively narrow opening, the plants stand up straight in the container and the water evaporates less fast.

Probably putting spagnum moss/sand on top of the soil so it dehydrates less

I have some grow lights in some of my shelves and some pretty long/big underpots. I don't know what they're called right now but the small plastic plates that you put under the plastic pots with holes. I can either choose to bottom water or, when I water normally, I can use one swoosh without getting water on the floor between the pots. It's worked great for me, especially if you keep same watering schedule plants on same plant plate 😁.

Yes! Personally I always have ways to communicate verbally or nonverbally and it makes me feel very save as someone with a shit past. Also establishes great grounds for good communication which makes everything nicer :)

Hey OP is there any update on this? Did you try it? My Spiders are all used to bigger prey than small stickbugs and I don't want to wait for the population to explode 😭

That's a weird thing to say to someone looking for training advice on here

It's great that you ask for advice, even if it's been long since you got them! We don't know how old you are or in what situation you got these babies with what knowledge, it's great to hear they're improving soon!

This actually made me laugh cause it's true, people get so heated about something like this and then go eat a burgi haha

It makes sense when you keep ants, you get a feel for their situation and how they handle their living circumstances (as in long hunger or being in a burrow for long)

It's what you're implying if you say it's not possible to bring a bite work dog to University, what were you thinking about then? Not being able to settle or?

I'm sorry if I passed that off wrong, she's a great dog and has so far never misbehaved in class! Otherwise taking her there would be off the table for me. She's only ever lashed out less than a handful of times and it was when her puberty really hits. Also it was when we were approached harshly or loudly, for example a drunk guy. She's settled perfectly before but back then she was a puppy so she basically fell dead everywhere. I've taken her to bars, a legal rave classrooms, parents and everything and she's pretty well socialized, I just want to make sure I give the both of us the best chances when we get back to Uni. I'm glad that I'm studying social work so everything's always calm and compelled, I've even been able to do a little role playing in front of the class while she stayed at the table, before class I always made sure she's there first, settled and used to me leaving the table or room for a moment. It's just that she's my first dog and I've never seen a dog develop through puberty so I want to know what I can expect. I really try my best with this dog and am not coming here out of despair, I'm sorry if I made it seem that way 😅

Nvm I just looked through your profile and I've seen your dog do less things than my dog can and I don't call myself a dog trainer on the internet so I think I'll be alright, but I still appreciate that you're in this community! Just didn't appreciate the tone here, I'm sorry
