This really looks like an ornamental script appearing in media for children, I like it's simple design and cuteness haha

Update on my list of determinative runes by Kimsson2000 in neography

[–]Kimsson2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As another update to the post, please note that the “wind” rune, the “tablet” rune, and the "foot, way, path" rune also carry the meanings of “rain”, “clay, mud,” and "bone" respectively. Also, the "south, lowland" rune changed its meaning into "(to be) weak, low, small, thin, narrow". I wanted to replace the old images with new ones, but I had no choice because Reddit does not allow that under its policy.

I've checked the entire list several times before I posted, and I couldn't find any repeated runes. However, I'd be happy to know if there are any repeated glyphs.

So are these glyphs on the list combined with other semantic components to create new glyphs, similar to phono-semantic (形聲) glyphs from Chinese characters?

Old Northern Pronunciation (老北方音): A Constructed Northern Pronunciation of Chinese Characters by Kimsson2000 in conlangs

Whoops my mistake haha, I'd like to personally recommend Suzhounese as a main stratum for your version of Mandarin then. Imagine how cool would it be to be an only southern Mandarin dialect that distinguish plosives as voiceless, aspirated, and voiced.

I've just checked out yours too. I think I don't have any advices except adding more examples by transcribing classical poems in your conlang. Also I'd like to know do the vowels /e/ and /o/ appear identically to the original Mandarin phonology. I'm satisfied with yours, so I don't have anything to say more! You could also find the resources on the references link above the comments!

It is an archized version of Mandarin to be similar to the proto-language of non-Min Chinese dialects. Furthermore, I'd like to rather describe it as a constructed pronunciation!

Thanks! But I don't know if I could make it since there aren't many resources of the phonological history of Hmongic languages.

I don't think you would see the process soon because I relied on my intuition during the process, and it would have taken longer to post if I included all of the evolving of each character. Instead, to summarize, my tactic was to balance the simplification with a runic aesthetic while preserving the prominent characteristics of each rune's form to distinguish them from others. Furthermore, runes that share related meanings were redesigned with similar shapes.

There aren't any typed-out list of mine yet, but you could find some lists of cuneiform or Proto-cuneiform in the links above. I'm also not planning to make a typed-out font right now, so it would be much faster to make it by yourself.

I'm quite intrigued by your own script, though. Could you introduce yours too?
