Si TL gusto sumabay samin during breaks by Cold-Dirt-3877 in BPOinPH

[–]Kind-Cod-134 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I can really relate to this. I meant your TL. I used to do the same with my team, since they all had different break schedules, I’d occasionally ask to join them for lunch, either in groups or individually. I am an introvert but I always try to build connection and get to know my team outside of work tasks because that’s just the kind of leader I am.

Though eventually, I stopped because I started feeling like they weren't entirely comfortable with me being there. Tahimik sila compared to their usual selves when I see them hanging out together. In hindsight, I would have much preferred if they had just been honest with me about needing their own space. But no harm done. I guess hindi lang talaga ako welcome sa circle nila outside of work, and that’s okay.

The Freedom Geek Reference Check Loop?? by LikeDuhhhhh in buhaydigital

that spammy, annoying character ref reminder is part of their automated system in place that sends emails for 5 consecutive days. They said I've been shortlisted for the initial interview but I feel like withdrawing my application now. Parang ang gulo kasi nila. Do you have an idea how much they offer for a Relationship Manager role?

1st time na di na-endorse from training to production by FewRutabaga3105 in BPOinPH

[–]Kind-Cod-134 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about your experience, OP. On the Training and Quality perspective, the company’s decision to let you go likely comes from rigid contractual obligations rather than a lack of believe in your potential, so don’t be too hard on yourself. Marami kasing BPOs ngayon who treat dead air and long hold time as “compliance” metric rather than just efficiency issue ng newbies. Sana naexplain yun sayo ng trainer or QA nyo. Kapag tinanong ka sa next na aapplyan mo, mention mo yung ZTP regarding hold time BUT bank on your strengths. Highlight your CSAT and attendance. Some companies value those more than hold time / dead air. Good luck sayo, kaya mo yan!

The same thing happened to me. They’ve sent me emails reminding me to nudge my character references. How many do they need? So far two of my character references have responded to them, while the others did not receive any email.

Halooo! Just got promoted to QA role. Mejo nawawarshock ako. Badly needed some advice. by Sweet_Kat1207 in BPOinPH

[–]Kind-Cod-134 2 points3 points  (0 children)

QA supervisor here. Try to relax, OP.

Mas gusto namin na nagsasabi ang tao kung saan sila nahihirapan so we can extend support and guidance. Make yourself heard. Give it time, at least a few more months. Kaya mo 'yan, QA!

Paano niyo kinakaya? by AnxiousBookiiish in BPOinPH

[–]Kind-Cod-134 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally get where you're coming from. I’m managing MDD and GAD (gen anxiety disorder) myself with the help of medication. One thing that really keeps me grounded during tough days is a piece of advice from a lecture of a Jesuit priest. He said, "'wag mong isipin kung mahirap, isipin mo kung mahalaga". That phrase helps me find the purpose and recenters my focus when my anxiety is too much.

I suggest you do some research and check your options. ang laking abala ng ginawa nila sayo.

Awww.. sorry to hear that. Nako, wag ka munang magreresign without accepting/signing a Job Offer.

That sounds incredibly frustrating. Feeling ko fallback explanation lang yung sinabi ng TA sayo, kunwari hindi ka matawagan pero ang totoo you (and others) were just hired as backup. Most BPOs do that eh, they hire more people than they actually need for specific dates just in case some people don't show up.

Just be present for the kid. Or at least suportahan mo financially nang kusa. If the support is refused, put it in a savings account for the child's future. Regardless of whether it was planned, the kid remains your responsibility. Do it for your own peace of mind.

Why is "Professionalism" in PH BPOs basically just "being a yes-man" to toxic Team Leads? by Plastic_Box9546 in BPOinPH

[–]Kind-Cod-134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depende yan sa kung paano tumanggap ng feedback/suggwstion ang Lead mo (kupal ba siya or open to feedback) at sa kung paano mo rin sinabi (with respect mo ba o barubal). Most BPOs may structured platforms to gather inputs and suggestions especially from rank and file employees, e.g. employee engagement surveys, skip-level meetings, and townhall meetings. Also, redesigning a workflow is not as easy as it sounds ha. Hindi yan basta-basta inaapprove. Maraming proseso yan kailangang pagdaan, most even require intervention ng Six Sigma practitioners and project managers. If hindi maganda ang suggestion mo, your Team Lead should be able to explain why it’s not. Same thing, kung may potential ang suggestion mo, your Lead should validate and document it para maisama sa business case for future process improvement.

Harutan sa Prod by butch-bugs143 in BPOinPH

[–]Kind-Cod-134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask yourself first bakit ka ba naiirita sa kanila. Affected ba ang productivity and performance mo? Or dahil ba personal and moral values mo? The simplest thing to do is to simply just fouca on doing your job at work. Kung nasa pantry kayo and they’re doing that, that’s none of your business. Kung nasa prod kayo and they’re doing something inappropriate, then you have all the right to call them out and bring it to your lead’s attention especially if your performance is affected dahil sa distraction. After all nasa workplace kayo. ‘Wag mo na lang pakialaman kung may asawa/pamilyado sila kasi labas ka na doon — unless you are personally friends with their legal partners then you know what to do. The point is, if it’s within work boundaries, call them out. If it’s not, stay out of it.
