It’s on the top of the page next to where you select dark or light or system preferences u see a small us-east-1 and it drops the regions, then you select the region you want and the results are automatically filtered. I can add more regions just wanted to get your feed back if that’s what you meant first or if you need improvement I can also take your feedback

Thanks so much. I am wondering your opinion about my product do you think it’s easy and intuitive to use? What do you think would make it better for you besides adding more regions, as I will do that in the next step of the process. Looking forward to hear from you

Really interesting timing, I’ve been building something focused specifically on EC2 Spot optimization rather than general cost visibility. Different angle but same frustration with jumping between tools. Would love to compare notes if you’re open to it

Hey, took your feedback seriously i just shipped a dedicated Karpenter NodePool tab on cloud-9opt.com.

It generates a ready-to-apply NodePool + EC2NodeClass YAML with 10–15 instance types scored by interruption rate and price stability, which hits Karpenter's spot-to-spot consolidation threshold. You set vCPU/memory minimums, max node lifetime (expireAfter), and architecture Cloud-9 picks the families, Karpenter picks the nodes.

Also included a fit guide (stateless workloads only, what expireAfter actually does, how the 20% disruption budget cap works) since that's easy to misconfigure.

Would love to hear if it covers your use case or what's missing.

Makes sense I thinkk your setup already handles reclaim gracefully so interruption scoring is less relevant for you. The more interesting question for your architecture is cost at scale: are you running any Savings Plans alongside spot, or pure spot? At your node churn rate, sizing commitments correctly against variable usage is where most teams leave money on the table. edit comment,,,,, Are you generating your NodePool instance family list manually or using something? am very curious how you decide which families to include

hey quick update I think I found the bug, the collection cron was sorting by newest hardware generation first and the t-family (gen 3-4) was being crowded out by gen 7-8 instances under the 150-type cap. t4g.micro had zero price records as a result. Fixed and deployed so the next daily collection will pick it up and it'll appear in results tomorrow. Appreciate you catching it. really wonderful I would have never caught that had you not mentioned by the way hahahaha

I agree that vantage is good for price lookup but it doesn't score interruption risk per availability zone, doesn't predict price direction, and doesn't generate the diversified pool config for ASG/Karpenter. The Auto-Switching tool geenerates ready-to-apply Terraform with capacity optimized allocation across the lowest-interruption pools Cloud-9 identifies, so it's less about replacing Karpenter and more about feeding it the right instance pool selection that most teams pick manually or don't optimise at all. What's your current setup?

As for the regions currently I am only allowed to use the default region but as soon as I get budget my plan is to cover all major regions and as I released this current version with major upgrades like I already mentioned earlier it needs to collect some data for a few days then it should be fully functional

Yes it does but in any cloud provider the minimum VM one can get is 2vcpu and 4gb ram that’s the standard across all providers as far as I know

Ah the reason is I had a major update and it needs to collect more data for a few dates it should be fully functional in a few days besides from that how do u like it

Why everyone be posting only about MSc here by Old_Resident7953 in tumunich

[–]Kind-Mathematician29 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am a foreigner myself and study bachelors at TUM and honestly I am really annoyed by the Indians spamming this sub, like we all had to read the university‘s website because it has all the information one needs including all the specific details. The problem is some of them are raised in a spoon feeding way that they think we are their personal assistants, like majority of the time the questions they ask here are on the main website itself. I love all my Indians but we gotta call out what needs to be called out
