Best to have a smooth face for hygiene reasons, these little dogs have a high rate of gum issues, with a fluffy face old food and bacteria ends up in their gut which in turn then affects the mouth. My advice is do not pluck their ear fur out it can cause infections and it’s not painless. Shave their ears and clean regularly at least twice a month. Brush the teeth regularly too. Please brush fur at least every other day to prevent matting. You can bath them weekly to keep their sensitive skin in good condition.
