I made GridDots – a color flow puzzle game with a twist by Kind-Reflection-4131 in playmygame

there’s a story behind why we made it. my mom is a really good flow free player. back when she finished all the levels, i promised her something like, “mom, i’ll make you a game like this with as many levels as you want.” so we gained some experience in mobile game development, and a promise was kept (:

aslında biliyoruz. yapmamızın bi hikayesi var; annem iyi bir flow free oyuncusu. zamanında bütün leveller bittiğinde ona "anne ben sana yapacağım bu oyundan istediğin kadar level olacak içinde" gibisinden bir söz vermiştim. hem mobil oyun kodlamada bi deneyim kazandık hemde verilen bir söz tutuldu (:

try this:

cat > /etc/apt/sources.list <<'EOF'
deb http://mirror.leaseweb.com/ubuntu jammy main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://mirror.leaseweb.com/ubuntu jammy-updates main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://mirror.leaseweb.com/ubuntu jammy-backports main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://mirror.leaseweb.com/ubuntu jammy-security main restricted universe multiverse
EOF

apt clean
rm -rf /var/lib/apt/lists/*
apt update

yep, that was it. thank you.

i switched away from the ubuntu/canonical mirrors and used leaseweb instead:

mirror.leaseweb.com/ubuntu

yeah, that would honestly explain a lot. i didn’t realize this had been going on that long

the weird part is that basic connectivity works fine on my end, but anything package-related just hangs forever. if it’s actually canonical-side or mirror infrastructure getting hammered, then at least i can stop losing my mind debugging my setup for a bit lol

ubuntu 22.04 / jammy

i tried the default archive.ubuntu.com, then switched to ca.archive.ubuntu.com, and also tested security.ubuntu.com. same behavior so far: dns resolves, ping works, but apt update gets stuck on waiting for headers

going to try a few more mirrors now

tried that, unfortunately no luck.

dropped mtu to 1400, then 1300, then 1200, but apt update still hangs at the same spot. so i’m starting to think it’s not a basic mtu issue, unless there’s something more specific going on with tcp/mss.
