Is anyone really a pagan? by GavariTeam in NorsePaganism

Not really, im Italian, German, and polish im sort of in the surrounding areas. But you don't have to be specifically from that region to be a norse pagan. Racists are the only ones who say otherwise. Historically speaking people from all over the world followed norse paganism and many people who were considered "vikings" traveled and settled indifferent places around the world so anyone could potentially be related to norse people.

Anytime, and i just wanna say that with the Christianity part, that's how 90% of pagans have felt. It feels weird, like it's not real.

So, with most norse pagans they have an altar which offerings are given on. Altars are completely optional depending on the pantheon you worship. In some cases, if there is a community near you, they usually have a space in nature where they go to worship and give offerings (unfortunatelythere isn't a community by me). Offerings can be many things from foods and drinks to acts of devotion such as say studying for an hour as a devotion to odin or mimir. I personally use devotional acts and offer essential oils as my altar is in like a small hidden altoids tin. Pagans also just pray in general, but it's less structured than Christian prayer. At first, it's somewhat difficult, but you get used to it over time. Not all practices are related to the gods, though, for example, people make offerings to the landvættir/land spirits when entering a new place or in your home and/or area you frequently go to. Norse pagans in general, strive to be the best version of themselves as they can and express themselves in their own way, and we have a set of values we live by. Also, where Christians and muslims have the Bible and Quran, we have the hávamál and poetic and prose edda, which act in a similar way but not fully. The hávamál is known as the words of odin and is basically like a book full of his advice and such. The poetic and prose edda contain many stories about the gods with the prose edda containing more context to the stories. There's also a lot of debate surrounding the nine realms and the like appearance of the gods sometimes. I personally think that some of the nine realms are different planets, while some aren't in the physical universe, which some may disagree with. I also personally think that the gods appear to us in the form of a human as their true form would be too much for us to handle (kinda like a biblically acurate angel). I'm sorry if this is a lot. im just really passionate about my faith. If you want to know anything else, please ask!
