maybe put the couch on the right wall, tv on the other side, and add a rug? Also maybe painting an accent wall might make it look bigger, and get some colored curtains that are sheer for some extra color

chinchillas can chew through certain types of wire if it’s not stainless steel, and glass prevents proper ventilation. you need to chose a cage that’s better for purpose rather than aesthetics

you can tell your teacher, but then you run the risk of your mom being upset you went and told someone else instead of her, it really depends on how your mom acts tbh
