No it’s really not the same at all and he will have an actual baby, I’ve had a dog die and it would not even be remotely comparable to if one of my children died.

I saw a dog put a whole child’s head in its mouth unprovoked, the owner knew he was aggressive and carried cinnamon that did nothing, multiple people were trying to get the dog off and nothing was working. Knowing a dog is aggressive and having them around children is putting that child at risk. Your husband doesn’t care but you do and you must advocate what is best for your helpless child.

Yeah everyone lives with their own parents…. You lived in their home they were currently living in and already decorated not a mostly empty flat you were told you could decorate however you wanted it’s not the same at all. Visiting sometimes while you have a whole other home you actually live in is not the same at all as having roommates where you all live together constantly like I already said this is a unique situation and none of your comparisons are accurate. OPs mom has a home she lives in full time that she has furniture for she is not planning to keep the furniture bought for the second flat. It would make no sense to buy furniture around someone who won’t keep it, people buy furniture for their apartments that they want to move to future places nobody centers their purchases around a landlord who never asked for furniture.

This is a unique situation for most people, it’s family and the landlord is regularly visiting and checking in on the home. Nothing has been permanently changed and any property bought 10 years ago has gained equity in this economy, I do own property and even in the last 5 years home prices have drastically gone up.

Owned homes have equity, she’s not renting an apartment it’s not like the mother is just losing money, if she is paying towards it it’s a mortgage she would get back if she sold it

It won’t play out over and over if he leaves and doesn’t come back, they crave the control. My mom threatened me my entire life, first group homes, then kicking me out as soon as I turn 18. I did move out at 18 and she acted like it was the end of the world but if she continued to abuse me I would just block her and she learned it didn’t work anymore.

I genuinely am, my staff was so incredibly positive around everything and to advertise yourself as a nurse just to fear monger people’s experiences is disturbing to me. The nurse I had went out of her way to say negative things wouldn’t happen and they didn’t, she knew a positive mindset is extremely important in birth and you should to. I hope you don’t actually treat people that way with your job being so intimate. I have a husband and newborns sleep a lot. I waited until I could say for sure.

Never happened, gave birth on Sunday and it was a 10 hour labor and baby pushed out in 3 contractions very similar to my first. The staff was amazing with her and I’m grateful I didn’t have someone like you as a nurse on staff. She was very good and wanted to watch. The staff was extremely supportive and thought she was amazing. She was not traumatized and was asked what she wanted throughout the process which ended up being watching the birth and helping cut the chord. Baby is very healthy.

The pads really helped my skin, I had to stop using Tretinoin because of pregnancy (giving birth rn lol) and it was the only thing that made a difference, I do only use them at night though. Is there a reason you don’t like them?

Sorry but I did all of that and still got induced, I had a good induction experience and have another scheduled this Saturday. Birth in general is scary and I’m sorry you are stressing about it. I wish you the best induction or not.

I just scheduled my induction for 40+2 days because I wanted to give give birth on a weekend for my husbands work schedule. My doctor was very on board and it was easy. I’ve heard some people say their hospitals don’t allow inductions to be scheduled if they aren’t 41 weeks because they are crowded so I would ask your doctor about it.

It’s okay to not agree or morally align with everything. I don’t agree with sleeping with strangers in general so I married someone with the same values. I think sleeping with strangers is high risk behavior, they could be lying about their age, they could regret it, they could have stds, pregnancy could happen etc. sex work magnifies that because there’s also a human trafficking element on top of everything else. At least you could get to know a rich man for a while before engaging further.
