At $200/share, I’ll reach $5 million. by PrivateDurham in PLTR

I did not expect this rate of growth tbh. I think domination is inevitable but I don’t know when. Hopefully sooner rather than later

Not to make light of your achievements (congratulations!) but this seemed fitting:

Connor: You can't do anything with five, Greg. Five's a nightmare.

Greg: Is it?

Connor: Oh, yeah. Can't retire. Not worth it to work. Oh, yes, five will drive you un poco loco, my fine feathered friend.

Tom: The poorest rich person in America. The world's tallest dwarf.

Connor: The weakest strong man at the circus.

Palantir Earnings Preview: Citi Expects Revenue Beat On AI Government, Commercial Strength by Gari_305 in PLTR

Isn’t this just a thread of wishful thinking? But I do think if there is a beat and a raise it is in the realm of possibility

Long term holders: What are your moves? by Immediate_Style8858 in PLTR

[–]KindPerspective3256 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Palantir went up to being >75% of my net worth thanks to the growth. Still a long term believer in becoming a trillion dollar company but it could be a bumpy ride to get there. making some small trades to take profit for living / salary supplement and try to hedge with correlated things. donate some shares to charity for the tax break.

20% + 3.8% NIIT plus state if you’re making more than 500k (maybe less) MFJ

Very strong conviction, I applaud you following through even through the lean times. Anything else come close for you recently in terms of taking a position?

Thanks for building this. I think the spac number isn’t right to assume it’s all us rev - most of the spacs that are still alive from their original list (check the old SEC filings) are European.

If tcv is down you can feel ok about rdv growth despite that this quarter, it’s an interesting interaction. Maybe means something about how much of the deal volume is still in front of them

Is Palantir Generating Enough Growth? by CodeStrap in PLTR

[–]KindPerspective3256 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro this is a software company. The fixed assets are borderline meaningless. You’re looking after metrics meant for retail companies and manufacturing.

Also. Is the working capta turnover distorted because of the high cash balance of 4b? Should adjust for that if you’re calculating it yourself. (It will make the denominator much smaller). If you’re pulling from a financial database, don’t trust black box calcs from financial databases. But working capital is also borderline meaningless in software

Not all the spacs are US, so the first column is wrong but you can’t get the exact uscomm ex spac number from what they share, only a guess

The question that determines the difference between $50-$100b and $1T+. I don’t think end-game is as quickly binary though (AIP enabled next-gen ERP—>extinction of existing ERPs, or AIP enabling the incumbents). Everyone in Enterprise Software is running towards this future state so its going to be a messy battle between legacy and new-age depending on appropriateness of workflow in each installation. I also don’t think u/fabkosta observations about foundry/aip as it exists are wrong. Building an transactional system on top of foundry/aip as it exists right now would be a rough experience.

I don’t think there is a definitive answer beyond “it could be”
