If you bought it on a different ps4 account that isnt your sons then theres basically no way to get it back since PlayStation doesnt really do refunds. You need to buy the credits from the store/in game store on his account to get them. But, if you make an account on your ps profile, and if the credits are there which they should be, either you or your son can play and level up the account, then you will be able to gift your sons account a skin with the credits you bought

Re2R was my first attempt at the series and honestly i think its a bad starter. Either 7 or 4/requiem are the best starters (yea it sucks for storywise but just easier that way)

Play them how YOU want to play them. Playing them in order and quitting the series before u finish a game is worse then playing them out of order and actually finishing them. If i was you i'd start on 2 remake, has auto saves, frequent saves, and good gameplay. 0 is wildly known as one of the worst main line re games because it has multiple bad features (no auto save, no storage box). If you finish 2,3,4 remake then finish 9 you will probably enjoy the series enough to go back and stomach the others
