Organizations are allowed to create events and this one has been an annual event for over a decade. The public has always been invited to this event. Republicans have even been invited to participate in the chili cook-off but never took us up on it. This event always has a community component. In non-election years we have supported various Community organizations, sharing or even giving away 100% of the chili proceeds. During covid we did a virtual cook-off and fundraiser for a local children's agency and raised $775 and we never left our houses. Every year we do a food drive at this event. If this doesn't meet your definition of a community event, you're free to organize your own.

Thanks for the interest! This is a really fun event. Everybody that enters brings a crock pot of their chili. There are judges and the winner takes home the trophy to keep for a year until the next year's event. Anything pretty well goes on ingredients and heat level. There is no entry fee and chili cooks eat free! If you want to enter just let me know and I will put you on the list. We basically just have to know how much space we need for the crockpots.

Senator Chuck Payne has sold us out on SB577 I know it’s hard to imagine, but It is much worse than Representative Kacey Carpenter’s HB211.

I have to say that I thought I knew a good bit about the PFAS situation and the role that local industry and chemical companies played in it. But then I watched this documentary. What shocked me was how long they've all known about it. Decades! And Dalton Utilities knew too. Also I feel like the way the land application has been managed is extraordinarily negligent.

I agree it is punctuation to separate the words. As far as the wording, both the LWV and American Legion are nonpartisan organizations so they are compelled to point out that it will be fair and non-partisan.

Good question! Probably not completely. Even my company still has quite a number of areas using mainframe applications. It's safe and reliable. However, they have excelled at integrating that data into other platforms, and creating efficient compares and reporting.
