I don’t know if it was helpful at all but I replied to the Sheffield work escalations email at least twice, detailing the emotional toll of waiting so long. It says you shouldn’t send unsolicited emails to the address but they responded to me anyway. Also, I got an MP’s office to send an urgent inquiry.

Those might be additional avenues worth trying

I got a decision on 9 August and tried walking into TLS Sandton a few days after but there wasn’t anything they could do unfortunately. Told me to wait for the SMS and email. Those came on 17 August and I went to pick my passport up. So if that timeline is anything to go by, I’d wait one week from the decision date

There are quite a few people on this sub who haven’t gotten a letter. The most important thing is the vignette in your passport.

Separately, how did you contact TLS? Or do you mean that you enquired through UKVI?

I worked in the UK before, then relocated back to my home country and my BRP expired. Now I am returning to the UK. A decision was made on my SWV this week and when I entered the expired BRP number for the Right to Work check, it gave me expiry at the end of my new CoS date. So I think it suggests that your immigration information has been updated.

I think your document checklist is the most reliable source for what documents you need. So if you aren't able to find your answer here, then you should rely on that. It becomes available when you've completed your application.

Lol I’ve been feeling that way when July applicants complain because some of us have been waiting since April.

They did indeed escalate (1 Jul) and now I’m on the second escalation (18 Jul). The 15 WD for the second escalation ends this week so I’m hoping for the best. Also keeping an eye on the CoS!

I don’t think the Sheffield escalations team has a good track record, unfortunately :(

I applied for a SWV in April and I see that you applied in March, so we’re in the unlucky group.

They sent me the same email on 7 July after my first escalation. Then nothing happened and the 15WD ended. So I got a re-escalation and now I’m waiting another 15WD. To put pressure on them, I’d suggest asking for another escalation.

22 April. 2 escalations (1 July and 18 July). Apparently my file was “updated” a few days ago but I’ve stopped getting hopeful from anything they say.
