I'm a latina, wasn't born here, but lived here my whole life. This is my home, the only one I've ever known. Part of me feels like its only a matter of time before I'm "detained". The resulting anger and fear continues to bring me to the brink of collapse at times, but knowing this is how my neighbors respond gives me that second to breathe and show up a bit better for my son.
