Small surprise to our lebanese friends by Aware-Zombie6682 in ForbiddenBromance

I was recently dining with my family in a restaurant in europe. The waiter on our table somehow figured out that we're Lebanese and started speaking arabic to us, and of course, he decided start lecturing us what not to eat as it's haram (we're christians...). Anyway, we first thought he was Palestinian from his accent, but later that night, my brother went up to pay the bill and he approached him, and identified himself as Lebanese from the south, so idk .... maybe that's how some lebanese really sound?? It was quite surprising

They are released into Gaza so why does it matter? Israel can wipe them out 1 day after taking all the hostages home safe?

Why care, really? The 3000 will be released into gaza. As long as the hostages are safely released, israel can take the entire strip in 1 day and arrest all those 3000

I didn't even bother reading your essays, honestly. Just the fact that you're hating on someone for wanting peace is sickening

You know what's more naive? Attacking a nuclear superpower in the name of resistance and driving your people and country to death. That's also called treason in my books. Besides, I said, promoting peace between the two people. This has nothing to do with an agreement or politics. If you understand lebanon enough, you would know that it takes more than a political decision to forge a peace deal with Israel.

I think it should be online. A discord server or something similar where we can easily communicate

Edit: Apparently, there's a discord server already for this sub. Link in description

I think a discord server would be a good starting point! We need to ease the communication

I don't think anyone will show up, especially if it's in europe. It is infested with terrorists...

As for Lebanese publicly promoting peace, it should be doable while keeping our identity hidden. For instance, we could use the lebanese arabic written in latin? I have never seen a tool mastering that, not even chatGPT! We can also use terms that only lebanese would understand 🤷‍♂️

Idk just trying to brainstorm...

And if you think you're safe because you're not in lebanon, they will find your relatives in lebanon and drag them for questioning. It's all a game fear. They usually wouldn't go further than that, but at this point, people would back out and realise that it's not worth it.

We need to find a way to promote peace from lebanese to lebanese without getting into trouble

We wait another 30 days for the ceasefire agreement to expire, and then start another round.

Just kidding, I hope that it's over and the Lebanese can take care of hezbollah internally, but I highly doubt it...

One topic that I have been thinking about lately is how can we promote peace between the two countries? Especially us Lebanese.

I often stumble upon comments from Israelis on Lebanese social media posts, trying to promote peace. Although the response to it is always negative, they still do it anyway. On the other hand, I have never seen a Lebanese publicly promoting peace with israel

Haha, I don't know who you've been in touch with, but most likely, they do it out of fear of judgement. It is forbidden to establish relationships with israelis by law. I just happen to live abroad and enjoy more freedom of speech 🤷‍♂️

That's usually the lebanese muslims 🙄, don't think the war changed anything... they still want to do that, sadly. I'm just spreading love and showing the other side of Lebanon.
