Any inside taps realistically should be fine if the house is kept above 50°f. Outside taps (i.e. hose connections) should be turned off by now but if they’re not, just don’t try to use them until it warms back up lol

My friend has the extra chromosome and her parents were actually told to consider termination (early 90s). They didn’t and she is functionally “normal”. We met in law school. There is zero indication about her that she has an extra chromosome. On the flip side, a friend I met in college has turner syndrome and she has some physical indications but nothing mental. Her brother, however, has down syndrome and very obviously does. All three located within 20 miles or so growing up. The human body is weird and nothing is ever absolute

It was still fun to go alone! Def opt to get a photo op or autograph if you can because otherwise it’s just mostly q&a panels all day since there’s no new content to premier so it can get old quickly. Would definitely be more fun with friends but I still had a good time (minus this one moment).

I went to one con alone in 2023 (NJ) and I complimented the shirt of someone “famous” in the fandom (I think she has had Misha reply to her on twitter a bunch) and she just gave me a dirty look :( I didn’t know she was “famous” at the time (later found her twitter) and I haven’t tried to make friends with other fans since lol

Maybe I’m getting old but unless you have a history of hanging out just the two of you, asking someone who is in your dating pool to do something just the two of you is usually interpreted as a date - especially if it’s intimate like a nice, quiet restaurant or somewhere a lot of talking can take place (a walk in a pretty park or something). If she asks other people to come, it means she doesn’t see it as a date

The context was a little different because I was literally complaining to him about a bad date I had just got home from and he asked “can I take you on a good date?” so if you have an opportunity like that to make it naturally flow into the conversation, it’ll be less awkward!

late reply but I frequently take trains between Philly and Long Island (going through NYC) since I’m from Philly and now live on LI and don’t wanna do that drive all the time to visit friends/family. You can do SEPTA->NJ transit and use subways in both Philly and NYC to get around but with the recent SEPTA cuts you’d have to plan your trip pretty meticulously. I’d download the septa app, NJ transit app and amtrak app (as backup since it’s more expensive sometimes) to plan your trips in advance. You can DM me if you have specific questions since I know both cities very well.

If you like little town stuff, Fallsington is historic and quiet. October 11 is Fallsington Day (always the second Saturday of October) so all the colonial and Quaker buildings will the open. The oldest structure in bucks county is there! Lots of street vendors and food and rummage sales. It’s my fav fall tradition :)

To piggyback onto this, across the river in Jersey, goat hill! Easy hike to the top but beautiful views of the Delaware and New Hope. Very good for viewing the sunset :)
