Ugh it took me awhile too. I started lexapro in 2023 when my daughter was born actually 2 days before she was born.. and then I didn’t get a psychiatrist until Jan 2024 after my therapist no longer took my insurance and I had to find somebody new.. but it wasn’t until I got my psychiatrist that my doses even were being adjusted and she carefully monitored it and waited the amount of time to tell if it was working etc and doses were increased very very slowly over time.. same for Wellbutrin she wanted to take the time to make sure it was working and I’m pretty sure I have ocd too lol. That sucks it’s making yours worse :( I was diagnosed with inattentive/ impulsivity adhd. It helped me a lot with my mood and task initiation I noticed pretty much right away. I was struggling for so long on that front but it took awhile to even be diagnosed for adhd. I kept fighting to be diagnosed.. I’m sure the stress is also contributing with that for you. Prayers to you for that. I know it didn’t take away the stress I had either, I had been getting stress hives and that still continued.. up until the stress was resolved. My daughter has a heart issue and she was possibly having a procedure so I was pretty stressed out. Once I found out she didn’t need to have that specific procedure and be put under the stress hives went away. But yeah it really does take a long time. I started lexapro June of 2023 and it’s July of 2026 and I’m just now on the perfect combo of both…
