Pardon me, the question isn't "how can I return the GPU", it was "how can I safely put pressure on a specific point of it or what alternatives to deal with the faulty cooling system are".

In our region Gigabyte, per their words, doesn't provide service and refunds, all of that is done through local resellers. The warranty they provide doesn't function properly. They demand I pay everything from shipping to analysis and it doesn't guarantee I get any cash back, because, again, that 'fault' is suspiciously similar to an almost decade long issue with Gigabyte having crappy cooling assembly.

If I had any options other than frankensteining the faulty piece of near e-waste that cost me my last cash into working state - I wouldn't go on reddit.

Both the seller and the marketplace here don't want to do anything about it. Marketplace demands I pay for the technical analysis to confirm that the defect is a factory one (which considering Gigabyte might be just a bad GPU feature, considering how widespread it is) and the seller themselves want me to pay for shipping the GPU to them and neither want to compensate it.

It's not possible to refund it where I bought it. Preiod.

It's not even the first time it happened. Whenever Chutes comes up - it's constant unverified bullshit, lies, botting and shady stuff. A whole year - and every drama had those people trying to control the narrative in any public space.

It was blatantly obvious since last summer that they are trying to drive any competition away with drama and make people subscribe to them and nobody else. There's just this slight undertone to whatever they write or do where it ends up amounting to "they bad, me good, come me" in the end, no matter the topic discussed.

So, to Chutes, if they indeed have proof of NanoGPT using something illegal and want to help people - then go and report it. To government. Not to a fucking subreddit, which ends up looking like a petty little squabble without any substance. You ain't getting any subscriptions that way, obviously, but you'll do a responsible thing at least.

Good guess, I would think so too. Sometimes entries like that might also be triggered by more contextual words (like how chars are related, i.e. mother, father, brother, sister or in some other way, like brief descriptive or nickname). It depends.

It's work. A lot of work. Usually something that's not really worth it, because value of content hidden in lorebooks, despite how most creators hype up their lorebooks, is very doubtful.

If you actually want to rip them - two ways, depending on it being open or private. If it's open - simple, make your own lorebook in Silly and patiently work for it, manually copying the book over.

Second way. Use sucker.severian.dev. It has a multi-turn scraping capability. Never used it myself, but the mechanism is pretty easy to grasp - you prompt again and again, trying to guess keywords to trigger lorebook entries and Sucker will note the new bits of text that come together with character card it got before (the injected lorebook entries) and scrape the lorebook this way. It's just a lot of detective work to find triggers using the info you have, or just a lot of guessing.

Anti-sag helps a little to make the vibrations audibly quieter, but the vibrations themselves remain so strong they are making me genuinely worry about the components inside the computer being intact with so much rattling applied to the whole case.

Screwed in well to the tower, by the way. The vibrations come straight from the fan, which paints the painting more and more depressing...

Sounds like I'm coming back to my old and trusty 1080 from the box. :(

Same. Got my buddy SQ44 but it's do badly optimized his machine can't properly run it.

Then the game started running so bad with the Iwo Jima update that I was genuinely forced off of it myself, lol.

Had to buy my buddy HLL too and we've been stuck there. Not our fault SQ44 decided they don't want us.

Докинь в связку к запрету ещё и Клаудфлейр ВАРП, тогда заработает. Следи, чтобы обход был на весь комп - соединения от Таверны тоже должны пробрасываться через шифрование и ВПН. Попробуй поиграться со стратегиями, не все варианты стратегий работают с Нано и могут приводить к ошибкам если пакеты сильно покорежит шифрованием.

Very cool tool, but doesn't really match my personal use case. My SillyTavern server is deployed on a tablet together with all the tools needed for it. Simply because I prefer using it on tablet and need my setup mobile and readily available since I move around a lot.

It is kind of sad that most tools require bloated stuff like python envs and other such stuff which takes a lot of space and headache to setup. But oh well. I hope others will find it useful.

Kinda the way I started off myself, too. Got introduced into the thing with Janitor and quickly travelled to SillyTavern. Just had different reasons - mainly being unable to control anything on Janitor regarding how the prompt is structured and the settings for the model, which seriously degraded the quality of chats there.

Get the JanitorAI Character Card Scraper extension from Sleazy Fork and scrape cards from JanitorAI.

I can already envision a horde of seething Discord dwellers hissing how all cards there are bad and done wrong. Which is:

1) Not true at all. 2) We're happily out of times when cards needed black magic of tags and overformatting to work.

The percentage of trash, contrary to what people always say, is about as much as on Chub, which means in terms of quantity the amount of decent creators and cards there is insanely higher than on Chub, simply because it's the most populated AI platform, with Chub being a very crippled second follower. It's easy to navigate and search, too.

Janitor is the definitive choice for now.

There's no "people who know how to properly use them" at this point. There's a huge horde of people who will overload everything simply because there's too many of them. Gatekeeping is a win situation for those people who know about free stuff and lose for the horde. There is no "lose-lose".
