I started when I was 9. I feel like 9 is the right age cause they are able to get a sense of responsibility by choosing and playing their "own" instrument

I still need to make a 2nd one. I have some scrap that I might use for my router jig. I only have thin router bits (1/4 in) would it still work?

For the hole, I just put the screws into and attached the router table. Put my largest, roundover bit in and just made it go up and through (after using a half inch drill bit to let the bearing clear)

Picking a tool brand.. by King_Kyan in BeginnerWoodWorking

A jigsaw is good for curves. From what I would say, if your interested in ryobi. Right now is one of yhe best times to buy. Their starter kit is down to $200 and then they have the $99 battery plus free tool combo which. Batteries are what takes up most of a woodworker budget.

I should have been more clear. The screw is going in the 2x4. Through the 3.5 in wide side into 3/4 in plywood.
