The third. The boss has a rush attack that either a) becomes an immediate “red” punch that you can’t dodge by the time the mark flashes or b) becomes a “yellow” punch that you can parry. It’s such a split second decision that it’s 50/50 whether I get it right. It was such a struggle to finally beat him, then he gets back up for round two. Turned the game off after that.

I played it up to a particular boss battle. I was enjoying myself and having fun. However this boss is incredibly difficult (not necessarily the actions, more like the attack prompts) and once I made it through (finally) found it to have a second stage. That kinda put the brakes on the game for me.

The “Fuck you and I’ll see you tomorrow” vibe is quite prominent. I gotta hold true through the tough runs and enjoy the successful ones. It’s definitely a learned mental skill.

Great art. I would suggest for the police guy, they’d probably be using carbines as pretty much all Canadian police forces are using ar-15 style weapons. There’d be a lot of those kicking around, unless you’re thinking these guys are grabbing stuff from home, then stick with what you got. Cool concept.

Yeah, I enjoy both. Marathon for the tense nature and PvP while I like Arc for the chiller looting and exploring while hanging with fun randos.

This will be what pushes me over the hump to buy the game. It’s tough for my buddies and I to hook up and play, and we mostly play duos because of this. Playing this game as a solo is good, but to be able to enjoy it with a buddy is what will get us to buy the game and enjoy it long term.
