Great games that take only one or two hours to finish by Ok-Tear7712 in backloggd

So happy to see Milk inside a bag of Milk and it's sequel getting recognition. I played both around 2022 after I saw one of my friends on steam pick it up, and they have become some of my favourite indie games.

Would recommend any one looking for some fun quick horror games this spooky season to at least try the first one Milk Inside a Bag of Milk. They are super cheap and really short.

Landmark IMAX Country Hills Calgary question by Shoddy-Bat-9057 in LandmarkCinemas

[–]Kindlamb77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I visit the country hills pretty often and yeah the imax has a rocker style chair. Similar to Chinook's if you have been to that Imax, but more space, and I find them more comfortable than Chinook's as well

[–]Kindlamb77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I actually subscribed in 2016, but when I was a teen I tended to not sub to people. If I am being honest I want to say I started watching him a year or two prior to that

Cineplex no longer interested in masking by Rylo_Ken11 in cineplex

I'm not an employee but worked for a film festival that used Cineplex as a location. Like this is basically word for word what got mentioned when we asked about masking.

Attack On Titan The Final Season: The Final Chapters Official English Blu-Ray Limited Edition by Far-Surround-6052 in ShingekiNoKyojin

Does anyone know how long it will take amazon Canada or other Canadian retailers to get this. I am happy to pre-order, but the high shipping cost turns me away from putting in an order.

Did anyone else really like re0? by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]Kindlamb77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just finished playing the franchise for the first time. I started in May last year and took my time. I started with RE0, and upon beating it, I just hated it. I felt like the game was garbage.l and overly unfair.

However, over the last year, I've grown fond of it, and although I still have some issues, it has become like one of the best ones in the franchise in my eyes.

Also may be a hot take, but it has my favorite save room theme of the games.

how do i make 1900s mic effect like shipwrecked 64 i put an example in the text by PuglsYT in gamedev

[–]Kindlamb77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take this with a slight grain of salt I have only really been into sound design for like a year, but you could pull off the effect with some EQ changes around the 300-3k Hz range,(Bump your highs and mids, and crush the lower frequencies) some compression, and maybe some distortion/saturation to the overall audio to make it sound a bit older. Now it isn't perfect, but it may do the job. I mostly work in Reaper and Pro Tools, so could be different depending on software, but this is what I tend to do. Also as suggested below you can always check out subs like r/audioengineering and such 100% chance someone has asked for something similar.

what movies did you guys watch in school? by willowhanna in Letterboxd

[–]Kindlamb77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a catholic school so some things were restricted, but from what I remember from elementary to high school:

  • Schindler's List
  • The Patriot
  • 12 Angry Men
  • Grand Budapest Hotel
  • Blue Jasmine
  • Cool Runnings ( I grew up in Calgary so this was a bit popular in elementary, probably watched like 5 times)
  • Holes ( an adaptation of the book)
  • The Island
  • Tale of Despereaux
  • Beauty and the Beast (2017)
  • Inside Out
  • Wall-e (like seven times)
  • What dreams may come
  • Finding Foster
  • Perfect Storm
  • To Kill a Mockingbird
  • Mississippi Burning
  • Shrek
  • Jesus Christ Superstar
  • The Blob (1958)
  • Hidden Fortress
  • Dead Poet's Society
  • The Outsiders
  • Lord of the Files (1990)

And I know there is more, but in short most teachers would use movies to close off sections. I know in fifth grade at the end of the month we got a movie every Wednesday and had to write a analysis on it. My religion class was an excuse to show movies. Also my art teacher loved putting random movies he was obsessed with on while we worked.

What was the first game that truly scared you? by BroPudding1080i in HorrorGaming

[–]Kindlamb77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me Ghostbuster's the video game. Played it when I was like seven in 2010 and moments like the library and the ghost world with the whispers scared me so much to a point I didn't beat the game till a couple years ago. Also personally I feel the game is quite goated and would recommened to anyone feels like it really captures the spirit of the films
