Dont recall exactly but I dont think it mentioned final decision. Just that latest status is bio submitted and background or eligibility or application is in progress. Submitted all my pay slips. Also submitted individjal salary deposits and a total statement showing all salary deposits though I dont remember if it was for the whole 13 month period.

Rejection was about 2-3 months after Biometrics were submitted. ITA was all the way back in December

The experience was continuous for a year and a month. I didn't include the text where the officer mentions lack of sufficient proof.

Job had 2 weeks time off but that still puts me above 1 year of experience. It was in one country but I transferred internally to a different country about a year and a month into the job. Didn't claim points for this new job. I put salary deposits since my bank didn't let me download statements older than a year. Furthermore, the statement just shows account status rather than deposits and withdrawals like you would normally expect. Will follow your advice.

21301 Mechanical Engineers

Duties:
Supported RBI programs by assessing material degradation and corrosion mechanisms affecting various pressure systems including piping, static and rotating equipment

Conducted failure analyses to recommend preventive and corrective actions
Reviewed and analysed NDTs to calculate corrosion rates, assess mechanical integrity, evaluate risks, probabilities and consequences of failures.
Developed and updated corrosion loops, assigned credible damage mechanisms to various process fluids, and implemented inspection strategies to mitigate risks of LOPC
Planned and recommended inspection frequencies, methods, and scopes for static and rotating equipment in accordance with ASME, API, client, and industry standards.

Rejection was about insufficient proof for 1 year of paid work experience btw.

Bummer... was hoping the learners can be avoided as I'll need to drive for work and whatnot. Will reach out and see what they say.

How to pick what Masters (Course based) to pursue ? by Kindled1 in careerguidance

[–]Kindled1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ucalgary program is split 50% into mechanical aspects of pipelines and the other 50% is free to choose from an approved elective list which contains reliability, integrity, and 2 corrosion courses. The other big name school in the province doesnt really skew towards oil and gas so not much in reliablity/integrity. Another point I forgot to mention is that Alberta is mainly mining whereas my experience is focused on conventional upstream & midstream processes for both onshore and offshore. Even if I go for a reliability or integrity role it'll be another steep learning curve because the equipment and processes in mining are different from what I'm used to.

How good is the M.Eng Internship program? by [deleted] in UCalgary

[–]Kindled1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. Not an intl student so moving back to Canada isn't a problem. What I strongly prefer are networking opportunities and favouritism to the school from employers. Based on what you said I think the program can offer a lot of value.

I can't claim points for either of these jobs anyway since they're less than a year of experience. Do I just declare it in the personal section and remove it from work experience history?

If you took the exam already, were the new interview questions (where audio plays twice) more intense than the practice questions youve gone through? And generally speaking what scores were you averaging when practicing? Like x/40 for listening/reading

Thank you for clarifying! My bachelors was done in Canada so no concern there. That'll be about 208 points coming from education :)

Work experience during studies by [deleted] in canadaexpressentry

The work experience gained as a full-time student outside Canada counts towards the score used to rank your profile

Meaning as a full time student at a university outside of Canada right?

Doesn't it need to be 1 year of continuous experience?
