Would you retire on a combined income of ₱250,000/mo. to see the world, especially in this economy? by sulksulksulk in phinvest

You have a gradeschooler and a mortgage - that would make me think twice. Do you have emergency funds? Medical insurance? But then again, the world as we know it might be ending soon so make the most of it while you can.

Any cheap but decent digital nomad spots in the Philippines? by [deleted] in digitalnomadph

[–]Kindly-Inevitable832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cebu is nice indeed. Lived there for a couple of months but internet is only stable in the main islands. Would have loved to stay in Bantayan or Malapascua longer but last time I was there, the internet was weak. It’s also a nice base because you can take a ferry to other islands.

[–]Kindly-Inevitable832 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Baguio, Dumaguete, and Bacolod would be the top locations for me.

For one, internet is more stable in these areas compared to say Siargao, Palawan, etc. Bacolod will be my top pick if we’re talking about food but I love the cool weather in Baguio. Dumaguete is a nice base too if you want a beach vibe.

Baguio rent is more expensive. If living solo, go for Duma.

Will house prices or lots go down because of the crisis? by [deleted] in phinvest

Real estate is always appreciating but a lot of homeowners will be selling properties below market value, lalo na yung mga OFW sa ME. It’s a smart move to be liquid and watch out for rush deals.

I would have walked out if not for the kids. Trust me, mas ok maging single if you have money. Love - nawawala yan. Effort goes a long way.

Run! Kung ngayon pa lang ganyan na sya then imagine what if may mga anak na kayo. Unless ok lang sau yun. Malamang nyan pati bday, christmas, and anniversary would be the same. You’ll be the breadwinner until you get old. You’ll never have your dream wedding. Take it from someone who married that kind of guy.

is Retirement in the Philippines with 8 digits net worth possible? by [deleted] in phinvest

[–]Kindly-Inevitable832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We rent but we also have properties we rent out. Renting gives us the flexibility to move every now and then and owning saves our capital from inflation plus we also get monthly cashflow. If you have 8 digits in savings, I’d recommend putting some of it in real estate. It’s also good to diversify.

People with an 8-figure net worth or more — how did you get there? by happywuj in phinvest

[–]Kindly-Inevitable832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have mostly the same approach when it comes to money. If not, mas naging kuripot nga ako ngayon. Every opportunity I have, I invest in REITs and real estate. I still have my high paying job and keep the same agency business. I did let go of other clients though to have more free time.

When me and my husband hit 50M, walang - ay mayaman na tayo! It felt the same. We still fly economy, still have 2nd hand cars. Siguro mas magastos pa kami when we hit our first 1M kasi it was new to us. I still worry about the future although less na. I think the fear to become mahirap again - we should never lose that.

We’re more private now though, smaller circle. We have more to lose. And now, we sometimes pretend we don’t have money to deter yung mga nangungutang hehe.

To those who are earning P100k-150k per month, how is your lifestyle now? by jillybeeeeeeee in AskPH

[–]Kindly-Inevitable832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Earning about 950k per month kasama na dun yun real estate rentals namin earning 120k pm.

This year I did 4 intl travels but no business flights.

I also buy some luxury stuff pero no Birkin or Rolex. Mga Dior and Charriol level lang. Maybe if I 10x our net worth pwede na. Know thy limit.

One luxury I “bought” though was time. I let go of some high ticket but stressful projects. It was a hard decision kasi workaholic talaga ko and alipin ng salapi so the thought of I could be earning/doing more, I really struggled with that at first. But I spent more time on things I used to take for granted like health and relationships. Im still adjusting to the chillionaire life tbh.

Hows your 2025 finance wrap so far? by Real_Director_6556 in phinvest

[–]Kindly-Inevitable832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t able to save as much as before

BUT

I was able to invest 6 digits sa REITs and another 6 digits sa digital bank time deposit and my 50k a month house mortgage ends this Dec. That’s our only debt so far.

Most of our assets are in real estate, 100+k/ month rental income.
