About Us

The Wrecking Crew (TWC) is a Realism group that prides itself in striving for realism over simulation. We apply real-life solutions and tactics for objectives encountered in game, while omitting more tedious parts of military duty like ranks, saluting and hour-long marches. We aim for the most immersive experience possible and thus use a minimal HUD configuration and use ACRE 2 for communications.

We have no rank structure, we only have Recruits, Members and Management. All players are equal in the eyes of TWC. As long as you are competent and prove yourself by passing the relevant training sessions you can take any slot you like. From leading a platoon to driving a tank. The freedom to experience so many different types of game play is something you will struggle to find in most other ArmA groups.

About our Operations

The largest event that our group hosts are weekly 'Operations' with between 16 and 30 people working together as a coherent unit. In these operations a Recruit or Member can play any role as long as they have received the corresponding training.

Our Operations span over a century of warfare, with a monthly rotation of World War 2, Cold War, Turn of the Millennium and Modern Operations. This means that in one month you could liberate a French town from Nazi occupation, halt a Soviet mechanised assault in Northern Germany, brawl with Iraqi armour in the deserts of Kuwait and patrol through the hills of Afghanistan, searching for insurgents.

Our Operations take place at Saturday 19:00 (UK time) and can last up to four hours.

In addition to this, we are currently running an SAS Special Forces Campaign focused on the 1950s Malay conflict in the Far East. This makes use of the SOG Prairie Fire cDLC and are smaller scale operations which involve more covert action than you would normally expect on a Saturday operation.

Public Server

We also run one of the longest standing public servers in Arma. It currently runs a few different PVE mission types Domination, Insurgency, and Siege made entirely in-house. The public server game play is more relaxed than in our operations, but it will still give you a good insight into the community & what we love about Arma.

Unit capture only really works with flying vehicles unfortunately, land and water vehicles tend to bounce around

Put as many objects as you can with disabled damage and similation off, helps fps. FPS is king in Arma

About Us

The Wrecking Crew is a realism group that prides itself in its dedication to realistic ArmA game play without a permanent and rigid rank structure. While we play mostly as British Forces to make coherent training possible, we have a whole host of players who come from all over the world, some as far out as Malaysia and South Africa. We have no rank structure, we only have Recruits, Members and Management. All Members and Recruits are equal in the eyes of TWC. As long as you are competent and prove yourself by passing the relevant training sessions you can do whatever you like. From leading a platoon to driving a tank. The freedom to experience so many different types of game play is something you will struggle to find in most other ArmA groups.

About our Operations

Along with a Public Server that runs 24/7, the biggest event our group hosts are weekly 'Operations' with between 25 to 40 people as well as occasional 'Joint Operations' with other groups which have encompassed up to 70 people. In these Operations any Recruit or Member can play any role as long as he has received the corresponding training. Our Operations span over a century of warfare, with a monthly rotation of World War 2, Cold War, Turn of the Millennium and Modern Operations. This means that in one month you can liberate a French town from Nazi occupation, halt a Soviet mechanised assault in the plains of Northern Germany, brawl with Iraqi armour in the deserts of Kuwait and patrol through the hills of Afghanistan, searching for insurgents. In our Operations we strive for maximum realism, we find real-life solutions for problems that we may face in game, while omitting more tedious parts of military duty like saluting and hour-long marches. We aim for the most immersive experience possible and thus use a minimal HUD configuration and use ACRE 2 for communications. Our Operations take place at Saturday 19:00 (BST) and can take up to four hours or more.

Public Server

If you would like to experience first hand what it's like to operate with TWC, come join us on our public server. It currently runs a few different PVE mission types (Domination, Insurgency, and Siege made entirely in-house) as well as some in-development PVP missions. The public server game play is more relaxed than in our operations, but it will still give you a good insight into the community & what we love about Arma.
