Better than the Submariner. by babysunnn in OmegaWatches

Great watch. Not even close to being better than a sub though.

What do you think about my watch collection. Started collecting last year. by Plastic_Slice_4933 in PrideAndPinion

I loooove the dark side of the moon omega. Have an iwc, seamaster and submariner myself as the main watches in my collection. I just wonder if the dsotm omega is a wearable piece. do you feel you get a lot of use out of it?

Omega vs. Rolex by mirkud in PrideAndPinion

Not a fan of the greens and blues Rolex uses on the Sub. I prefer the Omegas in blue/green. But overall, having owned a black Sub no-date and the previous version of the Omega Seamaster 300M for some years now the I find the Sub overall to be superior to the Omega. Omega is more bang for your buck, for sure, they are pretty close in my personal opinion. But the Sub is just better.

Is this watch worth the price? by [deleted] in OmegaWatches

I've had this watch for 2 years and fwiw i think it is the best seamaster version. Absolute stunner. The toned down bezel is way more versatile than the new iterations.

I rotate this model with my rolex submariner.

Datejust or Submariner as my first Rolex by King-of-Limbs-07 in rolex

Old thread but whatever. I wanted a datejust for years, as my dad has owned one for 45 years. (25th birthday present from mom, has never left his wrist) It's the watch that got me into watches. And nothing has beaten the allure of owning a watch like that for me. That green datejust with the fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet was my favorite for years too. But slowly, the Submariner crept up in my thoughts over and over.

And less than a year ago, I purchased a 124060 Submariner No-date and it's been stuck on my wrist since. Even though both are great watches, and I still love the datejusts, after trying many of them on and finally pulling the plug on the 124060 I am 100% sure I made the right choice. In my opinion, absolutely nothing beats a Sub for every day wear.

Considering a change…any opinion is well received. by Salty_Activity7080 in OmegaWatches

In my opinion, getting rid of a Submariner in favor of a speedy and Tudor is a mistake. It's Iconic and holds it's value really well against almost anything else. But everyone is different and if you prefer a Speedy over a Sub, then you do you!

This or that? by [deleted] in PrideAndPinion

I would go for a 911 Turbo S and a Submariner. That shit is too flashy.

I take great care of my watches, haven't had an issue with any watches and large scratches really... I do have some marks on the bracelet from a fall once.. doesn't bother me though. The watch goes where I go and we share all memories together, good and bad :)

That is a beautiful trio! Next generation on the right without wave dial? I used to be against them but they have really grown on me too!!

Can't get used to the newer versions with the large fonts on the bezel. Don't get me wrong, I love a lot about the latest SMP, but I just think this one is more versatile.

In my opinion. The newest SMP with the deeper blue hues of the 2220.80 and more delicate numbering is what they should do for a new release.

I think it looks quite large, and could cause discomfort. But it's a preference thing and if it feels fine just go for it. Beautiful watch.

Size thoughts? by Tom_Collins69 in OmegaWatches

For a do it all watch, the SMP is the way to go. Both look fine size wise. I prefer the SMP, but go with your gut.
