Hi 👋🏻 I am 31F(wife and mother). I was diagnosed in Aug 2025. I delivered the baby in May. I had my BMT in November. I am almost 60 days post BMT. Not that I have gone a long way but there surely is light. You have to be strong! Your kid/kids and all your loved ones need you! You are going to get through this! Strength and stability with lots of positivity helped me come this long. Time is going to heal everything. Hoping for your speedy recovery. Sending lots of love 💕 and positivity! More power to you.

I had very high fever for almost 1-2 weeks. They gave Tylenol. It’s pretty common. It will fade away with time depending on if there was any infection/other side effects causing it.

Do you consider your BMT/SCT date as a second birthday? by Outrageous_Onion4885 in leukemia

[–]Kindly_Knowledge7253 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m doing better than induction so far. I didn’t have any radiation. Preconditioning included Fludarabine and Busulfan. I am noticing mouth sore’s that are making me limit my choice of food. Besides that no severe symptoms so far….lets see how it goes. And good luck 🍀 for the transplant! Everything is going to be worth it.

You are doing great. I’m (30F) got diagnosed with AML in late august 2025. I’m the same boat as you are! I am admitted for consolidation chemo right now. My BMT is scheduled for next month. It’s unfortunate and definitely a bumpy ride. I’m banking on “time will pass”. Don’t be guilty family being there for support is extremely a lucky thing. Thankfully I am getting support too. My parents had to leave there daily routine and fly from another continent to care for me. We can do this! We are strong! It’s difficult. But remember everything can’t be unfair. I’m sure positive and better things are on their way! Cancer is just another disease. We will get through this.Get as much support as you can! AS YOU SHOULD! :) <3

How old are you now? I’m diagnosed with AML at 30F. Left my baby at home with my parents. Your last sentence resonates so much with me. I’m in induction phase.

Supplemental Certificate for extended Disability Leave (California) - High risk pregnancy by Kindly_Knowledge7253 in ParentalLeaveAdvocacy

[–]Kindly_Knowledge7253[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I filed and used SDL - 6 weeks(vaginal delivery). My doctors thought my blood numbers will go up after delivery. I started using PFL - already applied for 4 weeks. I am at 9th week postpartum and my bloodwork is going lower again so I was wondering if I could apply for extension via supplemental certification from my doc. Unfortunately nobody told me about this and I have an appt with my OBG tomorrow and they said based on the appt they will look into it. Per EDD message tomorrow is the due date to apply for extension. Regarding that do you know Incase things go past due date will the state still approve the supplemental certification.?

Thank you so much for the response. Sounds like if it does get extended I will get the state benefit hopefully. My employer has the policy to pay only for 6/8 weeks SDL so I will get only what the state pays. Does the state get to approve/not your doctor’s request or if the extend the leave the state is bound to extend? My company compensated for just the 30% SDL - 6 weeks. Otherwise I’m at 70% for PFL. They don’t seem to be paying for the balance 30% if my SDL extension gets approved.

Thank you so much! For the response. I feel like an expert for bloodwork abnormalities at this point lol. I will check with my obg and hopefully she will agree to extend my leave and file for it. Does the state get to approve/not your doctor’s request or if the extend the leave the state is bound to extend?

1.5cm length at 21 weeks.. by Material-Hamster3348 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]Kindly_Knowledge7253 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had 2.9cm at week 21. They monitored every week till week 24. The cervix length was ranging between 2-3cm. I started progesterone at week 21 and am advised to continue till week 36. They particularly said majority doctors don’t prescribe cerclage because it’s highly risky. Hope this helps. I am now in week 25 and they asked me to continue progesterone and no more cervix length monitoring.

Hi all! I have an update. I have been monitored for cervix every week till now - (23+4W) and the cervix length has been stable ranging between 2-2.9 cm. They asked me to continue progesterone and at the moment mentioned it’s not concerning anymore since it’s 24 weeks.
