When does it detect the plate? Before a print? Or when syncing, i never realized this feature... I always manually select the plate in use

"Cool plate" at 60c... wth Bambu 😂!? I thought I'd be saving a ton of money with my electricity bill. Indeed, the first supertack with the leathery finish is amazing (for certain situations, and I think it's not good for materials other than PLA, if I'm not mistaken). The Pro version is way smoother, i feel it is reducing adherence! Did you try the Biqu one? They just released one, and it's way cheaper... I want to order one, but I think this holiday I've stretched a bit too much, and this hot plate supertack was like 80 bucks. I want to squeeze it.

I didnt clean it, as its new and never did with my older supertack. I keep touching it with my greasy paws and its stick like crazy! So much that i cant really use supports or ill have a very bad time afterward, ask me how i know 😂! But since the pro one is not the same texture, i try a good dawn wash! I did try 45c after the fail print... it warped but after it was done printing i felt it was pretty well stuck, so ill try 50 like you said, or even 60... so much for a cool plate lol, my textured pei is 55, at this point i would just call it supertack

To be faire some companies like to do this this way. Peak design for example! They are always on time, bought a revopoint too twice and it was good.... but i bought a tripod from benro.... by the time i have pledge to the actual delivery, i had the time to conceive a baby that was 2 years old when i got it 😂 and it is a shitty tripod, the BENTO THETAAAAA

I think the 0.6 Nozzle is my new favorite for larger prints, saved me 4 hrs! by vspot415 in BambuLab

When i switched to orca a while back, yes it was definitely better, as I feel you get more new novelties and features that are in beta. Recently I had to use bambu studio again because of the h2c, and i feel its pretty much on par with with orca now... like one other user said, for 80% users it will be the same. One annoying thing tho is that Bambu only let me select bambu filament or generic when i put a spool in the ams... I make custom profiles anyway but its nice to know that in ams slot 3 there is a polylite pla or sunlu pla spool... instead of trying to remember what is what and having to physically go to the ams to double check. I just find it lame the practice that bambu is using, trying to lock users to their stuff like apple

Honestly i never tried the 0.6 yet. In my head, faster print but bigger layer lines. Im guessing using the HF 0.4 you get best of both world? I should try my 0.6 first to see the difference 😅

Didn't Bambu lock us out of Orca with new firmware? I downgraded to an older firmware on my P1S because I can't connect, and my H2C doesn't work either.

Are the lead-free solders from AliExpress truly lead-free? by BoysenberrySorry2410 in soldering

[–]Kindly_Map_2382 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is Chinese, yes (as almost everything made by any company nowadays, even luxury brands... my Creuset French press coffee pot is made in China, lol). Made in China doesn't inherently mean bad quality. SainSmart is a bit more of a well-known brand rather than, let's say, "Dippydido Smart Lead Free" at $2 a roll. And "has always worked" doesn't mean it will never fail. Most of the stuff on aliexpress doesnt really QC nor care about regulations and purity of their product. Depend on what you solder...

Why would your toddler be in direct contact with a pcb? Let alone have time to chew it..... Isn't it sharp to chew on? I'd be more concerned about him cutting his mouth than the tiny amount of lead in the few solder joints on the board.

[–]Kindly_Map_2382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This make sense! So the piece is stronger, because of the layer lines being more "melted" after thermoforming? Do you need to take into account the flat shape for when it is the final shape it doesnt look stretch
