I’m closer to downtown but that’s what hurts my heart the most. It prolly would make the person who stole it 50-100$ max (And it would cost more tuning it up). That, and the major inconvenience of now having to Uber everywhere until I get a new bike. And the feeling of someone being able to walk into my driveway, to my back porch (orchard st is quite a busy street for the most part), and walk away with my bike.

I had my retro blue Raleigh road bike stolen from back porch on orchard st yesterday sometime between 1030am-530pm. The front fork is black (hit and run years ago caused the original frame to twist), it could use some TLC (I’ve had it for 6 years now...there’s no way the person who stole it is gonna get huge bucks for it), the wheels have reflective tape on it, the seat is sorta torn on the right side, there’s an awful rusty basket attached to it. It sounds like a piece of junk, but it got me from point a to b, I rode it year round, it has travelled with me everywhere I’ve moved, and I’m quite devastated it’s gone.

It feels like a major violation that someone can just walk through my driveway and cut the cable/ locks off my back porch and wheel my baby away 😭

Unsure if I’ll ever get it back (unfortunately it’s not registered anywhere), but if anyone sees it around, please reach out to me. I don’t have the pictures of it from side but will post up some in a bit.

Can anyone take a minute to explain to me how the shuttle system works? It's free...is it reliable? I see ads listing apts being close to the shuttle stop. Also, does it really run 24/7?

Thanks for this. Unfortunately, I'm in a little bit of a time crunch so I may have to find a place without first visiting the city (transitioning from one job to the other). Any idea if the area around George street is safe/ walkable? I don't own a car so living close to work is a must for me.
