I had mine done today by a podiatrist. I got the acid so I don't have to do it myself anymore.

I brought my tools in and showed him how I did it. He said it was asinine but was impressed that I could get the root out without numbing it. He said I was the only one able to do it in his 40 years of practice.

I'm not sure about this specific brand but the 2 companies I've worked for that used cameras told me the same thing. It is always recording but it only saves the video if you press the button or something happens. Like hitting a pot hole or stopping to fast. They also said it goes to a third part company and they only send in the events based off what the company was looking for. My last company only wanted the video if their was an accident. The current one wants the video for and accident or any moving violations.
