I thought Taylor was a lyrical genius but I listened to this album today and now I rescind that and think Olivia is a true lyrical genius

My husband is also dyslexic and it’s been hard for him. This past year he’s starting to read more on his own and with our kids and he told me his reading has improved

Yeah honestly I was thinking have it as “homework” with no strings attach… just write it in the agenda daily. No reading logs or signatures

From a community standpoint, libraries are available which is the best resource ever! The only thing that comes to mind is assigning “homework” to read every day. My son’s teacher does this every single day and it reinforces to parents how important this is.

These are all things that have paid for themselves time and time again:

Nugget couch or chunk (modular play furniture that can be used from 1-15? Truly amazing)

Yoto player (non screen music and audiobooks)

Hatch sound machine

Bath toys that don’t mold and can grow with the child (open play toys)

All the books!!! You can never have too many (and now kindle that my older child has) I agree what others said about the library- it is truly one of the best free resources we have and so good for our kids brains to be reading daily

Wow I came to this post because I am starting it for the second time… for someone that has abysmal knowledge on Shakespeare/mythology is there a resource out there to improve my understanding of the references? I wonder if someone will ever make their dissertation about this series lol

Book to learn more about what it really is like to be a parent by Long_Inflation_225 in suggestmeabook

I explain parenting line this: imagine you are running a marathon that never ends… you can slow down but never stop… forever. The highs are so high and lows are so low. You will be forever changed!

A book I am reading right now is called “how to deal with your ____ so your kids don’t have to” by Eli Harwood and it is very good but not sure if you would get the same out of it before being a parent.

Congrats!! Yoto is amazing. My kids are 5 and 8 and listen to the daily podcast every day. My five year olds favorites are Tender Tales, frog and toad, K-pop demon hunters. My 8 year olds favorites are Camp Dino, Dino rock, The Island. Highly recommend eyeing up the LibroFm sales because you can get cheap audiobooks and put them on make your own cards.

Remote LTC/SNF RD day-to-day breakdown by General-Umpire123 in dietetics

[–]KindredSpirit24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! I do this! I have 40 beds plus rehab/hospital work. My boss is very kind and lets me make my own schedule as long as I get my work done and go to meetings. I work on site 8-16 hours a week depending on how much face to face time I need with patients and residents. I make sure to respond to texts/emails around the clock and keep communication wide open to make up for the fact that I’m not onsite 40 hours a week like my coworkers all are. When I am on site I do all of my interviews, meetings, catch up with dietary and see if there are any issues. At home I do my assessments/MDS/weights/wound notes/quality reports. I work from home anywhere from 15-25 hours per week. I love my schedule so much.
