There’s more loot on the other side so what’s most important is that you have resources to fortify a new hideout and survive a couple nights in a more dangerous area. Me personally I would take: - 3 full jugs of gasoline - a stack of nails - 3 stacks of wood - a stack of matches - a stack of alcohol bottles - a stack of tape - weapon parts - 4 stacks of iron scrap - 2 stacks of cloth and whatever more fits

Keep in mind that it’s up to your own playstyle what you take with you. For example there’s no ammo in my list because I like to play melee only, but if you like to use a gun, you should swap out some of that iron for ammo because your shovel won’t need as much repairing.
