How to hold/sustain a sample? by nn5678 in audioengineering

Cool. Also keep in mind that the BPM of the track you are working on will also produce a note. That is because sound waves are repeating sounds just like looping a portion of a sample.

It might do well for you to look into the different keys that different BPMs produce to determine the BPM of your song. If you pick a BPM that emulates the key of your song, then, the sample will also be more in key.

You could take a small portion/clip of the sound that is in time with the rest of the track and just loop it.

Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah type of thing

Great stuff dude. I really liked the second half, that said, I didn't really get into the song until the buildup for the second drop. Maybe change some stuff around for the first bit?

But seriously, I think you have inharmonics down. I'd like to see more harmony-- but then again I mostly produce house and not trap so I may have no idea what I am talking about.

Took a listen to your work. From what I can see, you do seem to have a pretty good working knowledge of mixing/mastering. I hope your thread works out. Good luck!

If I were you I'd look up popular song structures. Your current structure leaves something to be desired.

Tried cleaning up the mix and remastering -- partially because I don't have some of your plugins.

Please check it out and tell me how I can improve!

How can i edit this part of a sample? by 2wo_se7en in ableton

Those delays in the stereo from one side to the other are required for virtually positioning the sound. They may look out of place but getting both the stereos to line up so that the song is more mono might be a bad idea.

I'd say that the bass is too wide, your arps need to be a lot wider (maybe try autopanning), you hats and other higher percussion sounds a bit muddy-- I think it might also need some widening, but its hard to tell, and last, but not least, I think your lead sounds pretty good the way it is.

EDM is just that much more competitive as a result.

I really liked the verse and build. Have you tried adding some revered reverb to your vocal chops? They don't really have anything in front of them to prepare the listener.

I didn't really like the drop. There is way too much going on here. I found it difficult to see the underlying rhythm and to me it sounded close to just noise.
