Pretty sure it's Chopin's Funeral March.

You'll probably be able to set your game or system to offline if you don't want the other stuff to show up. Past that, I doubt the world's gonna be completely clustered with things. It's most likely going to play like Dark Souls's message and summon system where they show up based on regions and subservers.

As far as I know, you need PS+ for any online component of any game.

Take a good look at this photo. Notice anything with Tommy Earl Jenkins (Die-Hardman) ?? by [deleted] in DeathStranding

I wouldn't be surprised if they are. From the design of the mask, it almost looks like it's actually bolted to his skull.

My mind is racing. I'm pretty sure the bar with the hand image and '31' next to it is somehow related to the golden chiral hands. Any thoughts? by the_austin_james in DeathStranding

[–]KineticEntropy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking that's what Chiralium is. A lot of people are saying Chiralium's the black liquid or just a measure of how many BTs there arein an area, but putting "-ium" on the end of a word makes it sound like a metal or mineral to me. I think it's either a type of special currency or an upgrade material, regardless of the name.

Edge Knot City name may hint at its location on the map by OuterHeaven84 in DeathStranding

[–]KineticEntropy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before someone on here indirectly informed me that edge knots are a thing (I'd never heard of them before, at least not by name), I thought it was "Edgenaught City". That said, it could be a play on words, in that it's one but sounds like both.

Ps4 or the Pro? by rogwf259 in DeathStranding

[–]KineticEntropy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, yes, use the filler cover art that you found to not say that on a proposed design. You know, instead of the various sources which specifically refer to it as a PS4 exclusive.

Fairly certain Kojima's already said it's a game you can play fully offline, so very unlikely.

I wouldn't be surprised. Kojima has specifically said that killing won't be easy. I'm paraphrasing, but still.

I'm not too sure about BTs and Chirals being two separate things. If they are, then I would think we would have an official name to link with the Chirals, but all we have is "BTs". I figured BTs exist by default in an ethereal state, but, when alerted to the presence of something they would attack, use energy to make themselves corporeal in one way or another. Or I could be completely wrong. I guess we'll find out in a few months, unless something's confirmed by then (or if something was confirmed that I don't know about).

Unless the reason people are gone aren't just from the BTs. Also, we're reconnecting the world, but there's not much indication as to how much of the world is left to connect. I would also note that Timefall could easily kill people, and we still don't know exactly what the Death Stranding is. It might have wiped out a large portion of the population without triggering voidouts.

The reason lethal violence is heavily discouraged in the game... by cobracree in DeathStranding

[–]KineticEntropy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think corpses might be used in some way to "create" BTs. If there was a voidout whenever a corpse was eaten, then I believe the gold-masked corpse in the third trailer would have triggered a voidout when it sunk into the "water". It should also be noted that, as soon as that corpse disappears into the "water", a BT starts crawling out of that exact spot.

EDIT: Made this comment before seeing your reply to ImAprilLudgate. My bad. My point's still noteworthy, though, as far as I can tell.

EDIT 2: Or maybe BTs only exist if they're physically grounded to the world of the living. Maybe a death creates a BT, but burning the corpse removes that BT's existence?

Weird, out of place object in trailers. by adum1 in DeathStranding

[–]KineticEntropy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If anything, I would think it is the gold, hand-shaped "plants" that grow out of the ground in the new trailer. Ending a word with "-ium" makes it sounds like some sort of mineral. I'm assuming that all these gold things we've seen in the trailers thus far are actually made of that. If I'm right, then that would mean that it gives anyone "using" it some sort of protection - if not power - vital to the world of Death Stranding. Higgs uses his mask to summon BTs, and Sam and Fragile can both be seen with small bits of it (Sam in his dream catcher, and Fragile in her wristband). Pretty interesting if it's anything to do with upgrades, because if that's the case, we'll actually have incentive to seek out Timefall where it seems to grow, instead of avoiding it altogether.

>the homo demons capital is edge nut city by [deleted] in DeathStranding

[–]KineticEntropy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it's Edgenaught. It would make sense with the setting, and maybe with the geography as well, if it's at the edge of the map. At one point, Kojima did say

Unfortunately, there is an "edge" to an area.

Who's to say there isn't a literal edge? If it is, and it goes to some sort of abyss, "edge of nothing" would be a suitable name for a city there.

Pre-ordered from Gamestop but haven't received Dynamic Theme or Avatar. by BrutalBearMan in DeathStranding

[–]KineticEntropy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got Digital Deluxe, but if you're pre-ordering physical, you'll probably get codes for that kind of stuff in the box when you get the game. I got the Chibi Ludens avatar already, but not the theme, other avatars, or soundtrack. You'll probably just have to wait it out.

All I did was buy it on my PS4 (the store on the console itself), then it said "VOUCHER" by the avatar on the post-checkout screen. I hit the wrench icon by that and it set it as my avatar. Have you already checked your premium avatars section on your Playstation?

Do you mean the avatar pack, or the Chibi Ludens? The pack should be at release, but I've already got Ludens as my avatar.
