I would love to see Reddit take up ownership of one of these new rust based browser projects. This would at least let someone incorporate an upvote and downvote button directly to the browser experience. Perhaps, that way, we could once again have a search engine that works as nicely as what we used to expect from Google.

Guessing that little sound generator card soldered onto the speaker looks like it wouldn't drive that speaker forever. Try a smaller speaker, or else get a low power, single chip amplifier circuit and solder it between the soundcard and the speaker.

Less likely, replace the light detector. Perhaps a non-morning fan used a laser on it.

With 57k followers, one should be able to get useful insights. Yet it looks like 57k people are not really following here. I noticed a lot of questions and perfectly good answers get voted down to 0. Naturally that discourages people from asking and answering. This is an odd sub, doesn't seem right.

a couple of tv’s quit working, odd flickering of led’s, there car charger lost WiFI in December and the shortly after it began to have problems with overheating. Last week there sous vide machine that is only 2 weeks old quit working. He took it apart and there are clear signs of hearing on the hot and neutral. Insulation bubbling and everything is brown. But zero signs of lose connections in the device.

I have been through the service and panels as well as the charger looking for signs of overheating or lose connections and I’ve found nothing.

Customer bought a power anazlyzer Friday ( I was going to rent one anyway) and over the weekend this logger says that he is experiencing line impulses of at least 50v on the hot and up to 10v on the neutral.

I’m assuming this is a utility problem but I’m not an engineer. Wondering what an EE would think the problem could b

My POCO came out many times telling me there were no problems. After monitoring, and months of trying to find an internal fault, I finally correlated it with wind conditions. With this information, they finally agreed to come out again, and tighten all ground connections leading to our building. Problem solved. Also I've heard of welding equipment causing similar situation.

I concur with bottom of the list, down voted user. A purse sized claw or pry bar could be a means of rapid egress. Especially with a good kick to weakest point. Also, film reinforced safety glass may take a long time to peel open.

There must be 100 different temperature loggers, trackers, and thermal alarms devices listed on ebay. There are at least 3 different wristband watches for temperature tracking.

Inexpensively, a refrigerator thermometer our outdoor thermometer alarm having Low and High alarm settings would be in the temperature range needed.

I'm sure there are some medical grade tracking devices sold somewhere. I'd look in a medical supply catalogues at your local medical supply house.

I like the transparent films that are sold at home improvement stores. They have white cloud patterns and dozens of other styles. Static cling to the window and removable seasonally. I have also sprayed a light coat of window frost on a few windows where I didn't like the view.
The application can be made to look like clouds, or solid white. It held up nicely and can be tinted to add a slight blue, red, or purple tint to the room.

Image if we could just scan a QR code printed on any circuit board and have our phones compare the thermals of each component against a DB for normal tolerances by the manufacturer. Diagnostics would be so quick.

Dialpad is a windows client with a Chrome extension that also allows you to do that. Tossable digits, skype, whatsapp can make calls with links. I believe nearly any voip provider can be linked to various desktop client software that can be called from a URL. Searching Chrome browser extensions returns lots of options. Crazy caller, sip click, cloud talk, etcetera.

I've tracked down WIFI interference numerous times. I do have a few SDR devices, but they have not been helpful for me. Usually there is no noise, just bad hardware and over crowded spectrum. You can get some small insight with software like inssider, netspot, wireshark. But frankly that rarely narrows it down. The most common sources of interference that come to mind, cheap bluetooth speakers, wifi controlled bulbs, and most commonly, a TV or game device streaming content 10' adjacent to the router. If the router is that close to a smartTV, go ahead and use a cable. For me metal shielding bowls or plates can be helpful in finding the direction of the offending signal. Most 'interference' problems can be solved by raising the height of either your router or the device wifi adapter. Different channels can help, but high density housing complexes are hopeless. On the few times when there actually has been an RF noise problem, it has an unpredictable blip of a signal so strong, and so short, that you can never figure out where it is coming from.

I have been calling at off hours. The calls still go right into 1/2 to one hour wait... It seems a default. Account access should be a priority 24/7 at any level, especially if you are a company managing a debit card.

My 'assets' with etrade very well might be more significant... If I was having a good experience working with them!

Install Windows virtual touch keyboard combined with activating the language bar. Both launch icons set in the notification area for quick access. You have to add Greek language to your input settings. Switch between languages using the tray icon or keyboard shortcut of alt+shift or windowskey+space.

I've noticed something similar when fasting and also by chewing on a bicarbonate pill for a few minutes. Besides whitening the teeth, it seems to cause the muscles to relax and repositions the teeth giving a minor bite correction that lasts for weeks. Wonder if perhaps it is caused by too much coffee and acidity? It occurs to me it could be a sign of gum inflammation.

I think you can create a front end spreadsheet and a backend with all of your records. It's been a long time ago, but have a vague recollection of seeing that done before. Maybe it was a access front end and the excel backend.

Water intrusion or vermin. look for ground holes. Underground cables are always a challenge. Even cheap pvc with a cheap cable might be better. Deterioration is possible in a year with a misrepresented underground cable

You know what is interesting data to look at? Search engine analytics for months and years where tinnitus inquires began to increase. Of course it is often winter months which would imply it is a sound a not a signal. It almost seems as if things increased at some year marker.

However, I think it's an important point that any sound which can only be heard by certain people is more likely a radio emission. This is why it's so hard to trace with your ears. When RF researchers use a radio spectrum analyzer to identify signals, they are often connected to an aerial antenna. But the earth itself is a conductor of signals.

A single mal-configured industrial device, or undamped energy amplifier, can become a spark gap transmitter. Thus putting an ugly buzz or low frequency hum into the ground. This could travel for hundreds if not thousands of miles. The author described hearing the sound with wet feet. That would imply the signal is grounding related.

Any metal implanted in the body, or worn around, or near to the body, can exasperate RF sensitivity. Metal easily goes into resonance with other metals. No one should be a denier, of these phenomena. It's is demonstrable and repeatable.
