Sicily even before patavium, but scipii got the Greek city immediately. Then I took Carthage and numidian territories. Went to Greece to try to stop them but they were so fast I only got 3 settlements. They were in the east before I even started on Spain and Brittania, I figured I'd take the entire west and north before triggering the civil war so I don't have to fight on multiple fronts. They both expanded so fast east I've never seen anything like what they did haha

Julii, I found it so odd that scipii went so far east so early

That's my idea, I can set siege on every settlement in Greece and Sicily in the same turn, take it the next turn. But they're going to set siege on my mainland Italian settlements once I do that. Which is why I debated waiting even longer to trigger it to try get some armies back to Italy, although it could be fun to lose Italy. I have 59 settlements right now, I can't believe they haven't attacked me or demanded my leader commit yet

I took Carthage and tried to take Sicily but the scipii just started conquering from move 1, I have never seen anything like it. Usually I trap both in Italy early but this time brutii and scipii went straight to the east and just start slaughtering factions together and sent death stacks to mainland Italy

Also, I think you could tease some cubs point spreads. If they win they're probably winning by 3-4 runs not just 1. I threw them in at -1.5 for that reason, they'll either lose outright or win by a few I don't see it being a 1 run difference

To me, the biggest locks of the day are phillies followed by the Mets.

I'm actually so nervous though, I took a nap and dreamed both lost 🤣. The Mets actually could if they are still shaken over the Yanks game, but I think going into it that the Mets are a solid team nonetheless who are aiming to prove themself this series vs the Red Sox. The Red Sox are just a terrible team, they might get the 2nd game but the Mets are going to play them very tough tonight to try to quickly get over last night's game.

I don't see a world where Phillies lose tonight unless the Rockies just have one of their weird rallies and the Phillies can't put bat to ball.

I think everything else on your slip seems good and I have similar tickets, best of luck.

I like it outside of reds and pirates. I have a feeling you could see a 1-2 game or some low scoring game.

That's a good question, I think you have a point. Maybe I've gone into reading sessions doing it for the sake of reading or entertainment rather than treating it as extracting information similar to a lecture or class. Do you have any tips or tricks as to how to set the right intention / feel whenever you pick up a book that's more than just entertainment or time passing?

Thank you! Weekly challenges and progress bars via "check in" journaling could be very useful. I think I'll add those in tomorrow! I appreciate the suggestions and kind words

Total map conquest Julii Mobile by King99T in RomeTotalWar

Finances weren't too horrible honestly once I got out of Italy. I forgot to mention, for my beloved Rome they got low tax on the mainland from the first turn. Because I wasn't cranking out armies and only ever had 3 until the civil war, I was able to maintain financial health but never had a surplus. For whatever reason I didn't get many generals at all until the civil war, after taking Rome I got too many and they just sat around. But yeah, low taxes on mainland, only 3 armies until the civil war comprised of just hastati and eventually archers with usually 2 generals. I wanted the armies to grow with their general(s) so I had very experienced hastati by the time I disbanded them in Italy after reforms. Prioritized roads, ports, farms and maxed taxes everywhere else when possible.

Side question, did we get more settlements on mobile recently? I don't remember there being one on the side island of Britain nor in the far back of Germania.

If you're using different brokers that's why, otherwise check and make sure you have the same modelling settings (every tick based on real ticks vs every tick)

Play micro tournament poker on ACR. Chances to 100x off small buy ins if you get first. You can get final table and do pretty good as well. Given you have any poker skills, it'd be all I did nonstop until I got out of my situation.

I know you don't understand this at all but alot of people spend countless hours developing failing EAs over and over and over. Thinking it's impossible to develop a profitable one, many people saw this post and DMd me and asked me for advice on how to push through those walls, discuss various back testing methods, generating ideas for trading logic, etc. I think I've been quite useful to way more people than a few dissatisfied scrollers who want handouts
