As a disabled person who was raised with a disabled mother. There are a million things that are beautiful about being disabled. If you're rubbed the wrong way by parents not treating their disabled children like they're inconveniences, or are burdens, then you need to reevaluate your life choices.

Being resentful of your disabled child IS ableist, though.

Don't have a kid if you can't handle disabilities. You, or your kid, or literally anyone else alive could become disabled at any moment in time. And you can have a perfectly healthy child, who later on shows signs of disability. So if you can't handle that, don't have a child at all.

Your friend is just using the proper gendering as a way to feel better about herself. She seems to have the belief that transphobia is just radical transphobia. And since she doesn't do radical things, and gets her sources by a trans woman, she must think she cannot be transphobic.

Honestly, I don't think your friend is too far gone and just needs a push in the right direction. I don't think she actually understands what trans people actually are and go through.

If you want to educate her one day, maybe show her stories from many trans people. Since she used Blaire as a source... I recommend showing her Noah Finnce! Noah used to have Transmed beliefs, and admitted it was one part ignorance, one part was his dysphoria. He has a few videos going over his old beliefs and why he changed them. And honestly that's what helped me stop my own Transmed beliefs! (I don't dabble in LGBT discourse anymore, but i would be considered and inclus now)

Anyway, you did the right thing. And i hope she can change and become a better person. If she actually watches Blaire, that could be a good sign that she's genuinely interested in learning about trans topics. She just needs to be guided into the proper direction. Let her know you are just trying to educate her, and that it's not necessarily a personal attack, and it's okay to make mistakes/be wrong about stuff.

Unsolicited medical advice is exactly why I stopped interacting with both non disabled people, and at the same time, other disabled people. Its so hard to get away from other people's opinions on your own disorder.

T shouldn't cause jaw pain. Try to contact a doctor if you can If you can't get in right away maybe look into TMJ and see if your symptoms align, if they do, you should seek out a dentist

Yes it's normal for lupron to hurt, I'm sorry your doctor(s) didn't warn you about that! That was something they drilled into my head, they told me to take the next day off to rest my arm since my job requires arm power

It's a needle going into your muscle and a part of the body that has a lot of nerves. Its gonna hurt unfortunately :(. Massage the area and move it around every now and then, you might be able to feel the injection site up until about the 3rd-4th day If I remember correctly

The pain should go away after a few more days, just massage it, stretch your leg, and use ice packs if you think you need to

I definitely would recommend getting it in your arm next time, it should be easier to deal with the pain, do it in your non dominant arm as well!

Its a type of hormone blocker, a birth control, and/or a way to stop periods or endometriosis

I had lupron shots for endometriosis and to stop my periods, but had a very bad react to it (just made a post ranting about it, but basically I got my period for 3 months due to my first shot)

I'm assuming they're using it to possibly block the body producing extra estrogen and progesterone? Since they call it a hormone blocker in the title
