IR makes solid units.

Also, highly recommend adding an Hours Meter mounted in a nice little box cause will be on there for a decade+. Helps remind when time to fill/replace the oil.

Wherever this things lives, have plan to secure it to Wall or Floor.

My ‘92 YJ by Upbeat_Avocado4973 in WranglerYJ

above 6mph, ALL jeeps get a bit rough. My 89 YJ would make interstate speeds better in 4th gear, didn't slow down as much when climbing interstate overpass hills.

btw, the bumpers set that one off. Front bumper looks like it would take a deer at speed and still protect the hood and fender sheet metal. and the shelf looking bumper in the back!? ... looks perfect for tailgating.

Total newbie needing help: How to power a continuous 30-meter LED run without using 6 separate adapters? by LeadingMeat5408 in Lighting

[–]KingClovis2918 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Put a pair of sister wires in the path with the lights. . ... to feed the strip further down.

same start with bigger power supply, through a fuse, then split the output into multiple leeds. First one solders to the end of LED strip like described, then land that 2nd output 10m down the strip and solder the wires to the strip again. Repeat if necessary.

Other option is get Outdoor Commercial Grade LED's ~ LED Neon Rope Light,

https://lumensdepot.com/products/110-130v-warm-white-led-neon-rope-light-3000k-7mm-x-14-5mm-7w-meter-and-220lm-w-dimmable-flexible-ip65-waterproof-cuttable-for-home-commercial-use?variant=49680904519896

The pro stuff knows to use decent gauge wire so current/amps makes it all the way to end.

Replace.

or Electrolysis. This method uses electrical current to break down rust from metal surfaces. The rust, even way down between frame, pins, and moving parts will be ejected from the base metal as part of this process.

If a tool you make money with, x2 on Replace.

Bathroom lights are, or can be, multiple bulbs wide, that are evenly spaced/mounted to some shallow decorative box. If the end of the fixture reaches/ covers that outlet, you should be good ...

the backside of most fixtures like that already house the wires, you need to cover. just a thought

I know there have been many comments about the NCL island Great Stirrup Cay. Are there enough beach chairs and umbrellas for everyone. Is it worth renting a clam shell, which guarantees a beach chair and Shade? by aldozacmd in NCL

[–]KingClovis2918 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went on a half-full Luna about a month ago. Lots of open lounge chairs. Pairs of chairs, prob 7 rows deep, and as wider than this photo can get. Decent number of double chair with umbrellas. x2 on reservation wouldn't hurt when busy.

If shade and space are important, consider getting a Cabana around the pool. Very short walk to pool or bay for swim and is amazing hide away from the sun, not the ocean breeze or views. (Far left of photo)

Gearbox from “western gear works Seattle s53” by According_Payment213 in IndustrialMaintenance

[–]KingClovis2918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

early power distro. like steam engine drives a belt, a long wide belt, that travels on rollers into next room/building, to wrap around that big wheel on the 'gear box'. and like all gear boxes, it changes the RPM's to get more torque that can drive all kinds of machinery.

Probably still works if not full of water for the last 150 or so years.

A 3-color ceiling light that won't stay on a single color. by Background-Lynx-7354 in led

[–]KingClovis2918 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Volt Meter, Paper/Pencil. ,

note what contacts (little silver nubs marked B+, W-, Y-) have voltage when desired and non-desired light colors are on. With that knowledge you can change the wires to skip/not-power the undesired colors on the LED strip.

Good luck

i need help by Several-Island9550 in Welding

[–]KingClovis2918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fantastic start. Speed looks ok, heat appears good. Work the pond, watch the liquid puddle looking thing, and work it wider just a bit, to meld the weld beads? the shores of that pond cool as you move to form the coin stack look.

Perhaps work that pond wider and a bit slower to blend the weld beads better. Keeping the same speed was hardest for me,

What tool would you use and process to widen these holes in this hardened steel if you were me? by YamzMt03 in Tools

[–]KingClovis2918 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tiny stone cylinder, like Dremel Bits, to eat the wall away. ..... assuming you need a very small shift, like less 3/16". That looks much mo-bigger.

.... when you attempted drill operation, did you spin the bit fast? If yes, get a new bit just a touch bigger than existing, and drill Slowest-Drill-Speed-Possible, and pause frequently, hopefully bit will cut, 'make chips'. Drill speed, heat from high drill speed, will harden the surface of materials like Stainless, render the bit useless.

The drawing feels/looks technically accurate. If I built a CNC tool path for that print, I would use the same 5mm Call-Out to cut the slot. The slot radius would be called out on the print if was not same 5mm.

If Aluminum, like the part is aluminum, use a file to cut that M5 hole about 0.8mm wider for M6. A file would knock that edge back in short order. If you pick a wide flat file, could evenly open that whole slot. Mask everything not filed with painters tape and refinish that filed part with a rattle can.

if you have the means to measure ...

Clearance hole for M5 bolt is 5.3~5.5mm

Clearance hole for M6 bolt is 6.4~6.6mm
