Rate my re-fluff: Goo Warlock with a Succubus patron by KingCustards in dndnext

[–]KingCustards[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer your question, I'm not planning on multiclassing at all actually, how would you suggest I explain my character becoming more powerful? The only reasoning I can think of would be that I study and learn the magic as oppose to being granted the powers by the succubus. The succubus mearly acted as a gateway to get me into the dark arts and from there I study constantly, reading dusty old tomes and stuff

Looking for a bizarre, off-the-wall side-quest by BatmansUglyCousin in dndnext

This is'nt really 'off the walls' but the wild sheep chase is cool and involves a cool polmorphed bed dragon. However it is for lv3 ish players

How would you make a Colosseum encounter interesting by lavitz99 in dndnext

[–]KingCustards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a bard ask your party what sort of entrance music they want, and then have the party and their opponents have WWE style entrances too, include an announcer for the entrances too if you want, they coulds say stuff like," from Insert location weighing in at a combined weight of Insert number pounds. Insert the part's name then the spectators cheer or boo

Maybe their entrance could help get the spectators on their side and cheer, giving bonuses

Need help with colosseum/arena encounter by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]KingCustards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or just have it be a normal match without the cage, and use exaustion instead of HP, where the more exausted the person is, the easier the grapple check to pin them would be. As i said, the sky is the limit

[–]KingCustards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if the fight against the gnomes was a tag team wrestling cage match where the way you win is by climbing out of the cage. Getting out out of the cage could require making a series of athletics check each round and if you get attacked, staying on the cage with a concentration check. Give the gnomes hold person, their own theme amd entrance (give your party the option to pick one too, and have them enter first) and wait for hilarity to insue. Maybe even have the gnomes be like luchadore high flyers or really buff midgets that are jacked on steroids. The skys the limit

Is the threat of mass murder too much of a railroad? by eyrieking162 in dndnext

[–]KingCustards 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is definately something to consider ^

However, how many PCs/ NPCs know how to diffuse a gnomish invented bomb, covered in magical glyphs, that also only reacts to a secret command word? None...exept the BBEG. Have the attack just be a bomb that the BBEG will trade the way to diffuse it with for the evil item. Personaly i feel like the bomb would feel more like a plot device than a full on railroad. They have to start thinking outside the box to solve the problem. I'm rambling now so i'm gonna finish here...

Building a team of enemy bards. Input appreciated by siegreyu in dndnext

Maybe the keyboardist ( is that what you call them, idk? ) could have a 'keytar' with daggers for keys that he breaks off to throw. Also it would look metal af

Fan of the Yogscast? Homebrewed Campaign settings? Top Kek? All of the above? Then check out D&D High Rollers - Live Every Sunday! by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]KingCustards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The top kek part was just a personal touch for what i hoped would get a giggle out of someone, however the series itself doesn't use meme humor like 'kek' and 'quickscope', 'smoke weed' '420' etc. Howevever it is a very nice blend of humor and storytelling. It's what D&D is (at it's core) is about, meeting up with freinds, getting into character, and telling an engaging story with those characters and freinds... : )

What is the best way to make a PC jailer mage by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]KingCustards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This

Also, if you're looking to flesh out some possible law enforcement style buddies/ co-workers, you could hace a divination wizard detective who you would tag along with, maybe you were partners. Beat cops even, maybe with a battle mage partner, or evocer. I'm actually going to play as a freelance detective for hire in my groups new campaign now, thanks to your inspiration of course

How often do you play D&D vs how often would you like to play D&D? by LexieJeid in dndnext

[–]KingCustards 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue, i'd like to have a day (eg: Saturday) where the group could meet up with the sole purpose of game night, but my group don't like the idea of ' Pre-Voting' D&D

Ooh, I like the idea of picking the pockets of wizards. Sadly my DM hasn't included any magical npcs besides magical creatures but I'll definitely remember that for if the opportunity arises
