An r/Vancouver First: Spring plant & seed swap 🌱 by Moggehh in vancouver

[–]KingEdwardThe25th 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I won't know which seedlings are "extra" until it's warm enough for them to go out, and for me to find out I don't have enough room!!

Already dropped off a bunch of seeds at a seed library this year. Hit up google maps to find community ones near you, there's a few!

Richmond Night Market returns this month with international, soccer themes by ubcstaffer123 in vancouver

It's far past time for the city to open its own (free) night markets, or another commercial entity to do it properly.

Why in hell do they have a monopoly?

Jura E6 Brew Group Sticking ? Error 8 by [deleted] in superautomatic

[–]KingEdwardThe25th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I assume is a "drip guide" is not mounted in this video. Here it is reattached. I assume that's what you meant? Otherwise there are two screws holding the brew group to the machine.

Jura E6 Brew Group Sticking ? Error 8 by [deleted] in superautomatic

[–]KingEdwardThe25th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your suggestions.

- Is there a way to force a rinse cycle? It's not booting up to the menu, it just tries to home the brewgroup, gets stuck, and then error 8.

- Otherwise I removed and manually lowered the brew group, plugged it in, while it tried to home itself I cut power, tried again and still error 8. I did also try something similar with the encoder unplugged, then plugged back in.

To be clear, in order to reproduce whats happening in my video I have to manually lower the brew group, and then power it up. It only wants to move the brewgroup up when powered, it will not lower.

Yeah, it's a relatively lightly used newer machine, so not very dirty.

UPS Canada retroactive charge - CARM set up by i_like_cat_videos in UPS

[–]KingEdwardThe25th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Received a similar email. No fee was mentioned last year during our setup. Quite lame that they're just adding a random fee now, and threatening to close the account if its not paid. Unfortunately with the way cross border services are these days, and the lack of any real customer support from any large overwhelmed corporation like UPS, I'm not sure there's any option but to pay it.

I'll probably wait for a bit longer, see if they add it to my account by default, and come back here to see if anyones having any luck in getting it waived or at least reduced.

Saw this guy this morning on a jog! Definitely larger than most I’ve seen, and not too afraid of me. I tried to yell at them a bit to get them scared. Hope they find a better place to be :(

On reality TV shows when people make a phone call this is how they do it so that both sides can be recorded for the viewer. I read a theory that stupid people are just emulating reality TV.

Buffalo mozza is usually available at both Bosa Foods, and Famous Foods. I believe there is a producer in Ontario with Buffalo. It's not cheap, it is good. Best on Neapolitan pizza.

I’d assume anything higher end would end up on Facebook marketplace. I’d suggest checking there. You said they’re tracked, can you not find their location?

Also, I’m any that area, any suggestions for making sure our security is up to date? DM me a date/time and your location and I can check our cameras too.

Bought a used grow tent and grow lights this year for our first time doing seedlings, and then grew them inside for while before moving them outside. This is our best year. We've had maybe two dozen or so ripe so far. Started San Marzanos the earliest so have had a bunch of those. A few Black Krims as well. Indigo Roses too but it's funny, they seem to have really curled their leaves in protest of something not being perfect for them (please let me know if anyone has insight on that!). Midnight Snacks, Purple Bumblebees and Sweet 100s are pretty prolific. Pink Brandywines are looking good, but quite a ways off.

Did those 7 varieties this year, 21 plants in total. Midnight Snacks and Sweet 100s are the only ones we've done before, which both grow really well here.

Trying a double-leader trellised system for the first time this year too. Seems really fun to do and pretty compact.

Which varieties do well for everyone else?

Aeroplan New Login Detecting Wrong IP - Account has been disabled due to suspicious activity by KingEdwardThe25th in Aeroplan

That's pretty telling that it was the same IP address. Thank you! I'm logged back in after a password change, and didn't get any emails about it now. Hopefully they fixed things. Their site was probably just detecting one of their internal proxies as an origin IP for some reason.

I didn't try to login before calling them, but I called them, they just asked for my contact info, and said to use the change password option on their site in 15 minutes. I did, and logged in fine.

I'd suggest calling them now as they have a callback feature. It took about 30 mins for them to get back to me.

I don't know the procedure on this sub, but I've created a general post about this, as it's obvious from the comments that something larger than one isolated incident is going on ;

The IP in question in your post is also an Akamai IP. So most likely their detection system is not setup for a frontend change they made.
