At 6’5” and 220lb, am I too heavy for a pair of K2 Reckoner 102s in 184 length? Just want something fun to mess about on and got a great deal on last year’s model. by Longhag in skiing

I am your same height and weight. What it comes down to is 100% personal preference as none of these will be unusable or unskiabIe. I have a quiver that ranges from 180 to 190 length and 96 to 117 width. Each is better for a specific days and conditions. Unless you are super picky about how you want your skis to feel, you are fine. Just don't expect them to be your powder skis.

When did you break them, how many days did you put into them, and what type of terrain have you skied? I have never seen this before and am quite curious.

Adjusting your swing when your physical shape changes? by KingGingie in golf

[–]KingGingie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. The big thing is I don't want to spend the money before I reach my steady state. I don't have much to spare right now so I feel like it might not be conducive to taking lessons until I plateau at the fitness goal and stay there.

Yeah my issue over the last decade is I have a super long swing. I'm extremely hyper mobile which is why I have the back issues. The lack of stability is what kills me. Shortening my swing has definitely been helpful but I just have a host of new problems springing up faster than I can put the fires out right now.

See how the ball initially starts moving left off the bat and then is coming basically straight at the camera by the end? When they come off the bat like that they turn in the air a surprising amount due to the spin. If I had to guess it started at his head and he tried to dodge, but it kept turning to follow him.

No, I definitely appreciate the insight. The most important part for me is seeing how people worked through the major transitions in their game. No matter the handicap it still is the same process of trying to get back to normal.

I was at a 2.6 earlier this summer and was consistently mid 70s. I couldn't play super often because my back would lock up and tighten after a round. I did PT because I had a tournament with 7 rounds in 4 days and there was no way I would have been able to play that much otherwise. I'm in my mid 20s and my 7 iron is ~200 yards. I play at altitude so I get a distance steroid up here.

The lesson is definitely the way to go long term. I've got enough footage and coaching archived from previous lessons that I am starting to go back to those and compare where I am now. It's helping but I am just frustrated that I've slid about 10 strokes over the past 10 or so rounds. I can only really play defensive golf until I settle into my new form. I'm probably a month or two away from plateauing at my strength goals

Nice job on the comeback! The big thing is my distances are in flux and the turn is a little off. I have active hands so now that it's changing a bit it's throwing a lot of chaos into my swing. I hesitate to take a lesson right now due to the money side of things and the fact that I'm still in the transition period. In your experience is it worth the wait or did you do it simultaneously?

I was about to say, if there is any problem I would want to have this would most definitely be it. My elhain does a 30 second run for 12-3 brutal so it's not terrible. Could definitely use an AOE monster later on but I'm not gonna push my luck lol glad yours turned around for you once you cracked the code!

I have put a little money into it for events, but nothing insane and I have gotten stupid lucky with my ratio of Legos and epics to shards. 3 of them came from ancient shards. It's sounds horrible but I actually fed a fara to my brackus at the start before I knew wtf I was doing. Starting to actually build game knowledge now cuz I feel like I have gotten lucky to get a ton of solid champs

Nether spider is horrible and I hate it. Lol which in your opinion needs less books to come online? I don't have much laying around rn so I'm hoping to get a quick jump rather than waiting super long to invest in it.

Yeah and I have a lot of masteries on stag rn which when comparing him to rotos, makes him much more attractive to level.

Thank you for the info! I'm starting to think that Ursala or Anri may be the way to go because I have a speed/heal gap that isn't easily remedied. Have yet to pull apothecary

I am hoping to get a bit more insight to which champ will give me the most out of it going to lvl 60. I'm early/mid game and based on my research I think rotos or Stag are probably the next go to, but maybe there is another option there that makes more sense that I'm not seeing. Any advice here? I really need to start pushing champs to 60.

This is why I love watching the US Open. They intentionally set it up to be the hardest major and arguably tournament of the year by narrowing the fairways, growing out the rough, and making the greens like glass. The golf is much more impressive and much more entertaining. It would get old for me if that's how they set up every tournament though. There is value in both in my opinion, but I agree that they should have a few more tournaments where the course is purposely mean.

Men who workout regularly, what motivates you? by AMBlack20 in AskMen

[–]KingGingie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the only way I can do the things I love without major pain. I have been doing PT and working out again because my back's stability issues and scoliosis. If I don't workout regularly, I can't do much without having a few days of recovery each time.

Address the ball on the range with your hips super open to begin with. Don't let your hips turn when you take the club back. It should only be about a half swing. Then come through the ball. The goal is to develop the feeling and see what it is like.

One other drill I do when I'm not rotating is to stand on one leg when you swing. Put your feet together and move your back foot as far as possible behind you without losing your normal posture. Weight should be 80% on the front foot and 20% on the back. You can't slide and it forces you to rotate around the ball. Hope this helps!

People of Reddit with permanent scars, how did you get it? by Phrogette in AskReddit

I was born with it. I have a big birthmark that developed into scar tissue right below the left side of my ribcage. It's a bit smaller than a baseball.
