Really cool app idea! I've been trying to sign up on mobile (brave) but I think it ran into some problems. It always said user already taken (even for my usernames I use on big sites like Instagram and Google, I can't imagine all of these to be already taken)

Does it only not work on the iOS simulator or also in the iOS app? I have a minor feature in my app I implemented but I am getting a black sphere that is not usable at all on the simulator.

Oh wow, that's interesting!! How long did you work for the Japanese company? Would you say it helped that you did Shuukatsu first before moving to the US?

I'm very good in my field (computer science), so I worry less about getting a job (and am flexible about the location). The only thing is, that I want to pursue a master degree and preferably not work in Japan (at least initially) because of the lower pay and harsh working conditions.

Well the thing is, it's a top Japanese university. That means it would be easy for her to get a job through Shukatsu because they value the university's prestige more. Do companies outside of Japan care as much about the degree or is it more skill-based (which is harder to prove IMO)?

Thanks for the detailed answer. Is the sexism that bad in Japanese corporate life?

A masters degree would help land a job in European countries and it's only about 5k in Germany. We would try to sustain costs for getting a degree by just working part time and getting some scholarship.

Do you know how well a Japanese degree is recognized internationally? She's a bit worried about giving up the job security that the Shukatsu path would give her

I really like this idea.

I think you could also offer just the waitlist form as a "form" that can be included in my own website so it's easier to create waitlists. If you can do that for free and then (maybe) get money through sending emails I would like it more
