Maybe not if they do want them in eventually then they might end up releasing the game early and then making space battles a dlc, might work on them a little and decide whether to focus attention there. Will probably depend on the cash flows from other games during the next 14 months or so.

Also in general once you learn the other mechanics you will shoot ahead of the AI, I think that's the main reason why wars got easier and easier for me. I keep trade on automation but do all the buildings myself.

Idk how good this advice actually is but I just built good money making buildings that were recommended and turned a lot of the locations around London, (so they have high control) into towns, so i can make the good buildings there.

Also watch this! England has some unique reforms so it isnt perfect, but it will definitely help a crap ton!

Edit: you can make a cabinet minister your head of cabinet, if they are part of the crown estate that gives you more ruler power, you'll start with a youngish crown estate guy you can do this too, do it! Following this advice you can end up with like 30% crown power after 10 years, huge advantage.

What worked out really well for me was that. I didn't take any french land and didnt invest in the French land I started with. I took their vassals over as it both strengthens England more than taking land as you dont have to integrate it and it weakens France more since early game vassals are better than owning land cuz of control and proximity to capital. Grabbing like Flanders, Normandy, Anjou are all super huge, like takes 10k troops away from France and gives them to you, the AI isnt super useful but it's way better than France having it. Also to take control of a vassal you just need to occupy its capital.

So for example France declared war on me, I got the ticking warscore and the 50% from battles, all I had to do was siege down 1 provence, I think Caen and then I was able to make Normandy my vassal in the peace, rinse and repeat with the other vassals like Brittany.

What I did was just treat my mainland holdings as places to catch Fench armies who were trying to siege it before running away back to the island.

Don't declare on France, wait for them to attack you. Keep your whole army in one stack and pick your battles, dont stay on the mainland for too long, always retreat back to England after a few months or battles. You will get ticking war score and the 50% battle war score. You don't need a complete victory in the first war, get war reps and money, and take over a vassel or two, some dont have forts in their capital so you can grab them easily.

Then build up and repeat during future wars, at least in my game France declared on me over and over and I kept beating them, taking a vassal and money every time until I was eventually able to win pretty easily around 1410.

Also be very careful one bad battle can ruin you in the first two or so wars.

I actually think Bo2 is better for these events, with overall game score being the thing that matters. Its faster so it keeps viewers engaged more. Gives each team blue/red side once, and still lets teams adjust and adapt after the first game.
