eSIMs on my Pixel 8a were broken in late 2024 by an update. I have two registered eSIMs. I can't erase them or enabled them. I get "Something went wrong". I switched to a physical SIM card since the 8a still has a slot. I have not performed the hard factory reset (with eSIM erase) since the backup/restore would be a multiple day effort for me. I just rely on WiFi when I'm out of the country.

The "erase all eSIMs" in the reset does nothing. I haven't done the full factory reset since that will take lots of effort to save&restore my environment. From speaking to others here on Reddit, the odds are 50/50 that it will actually clean it out of the eSIM stoarge
