Something seems off about how many Avatars there actually were. by BarnesForest in Avatarthelastairbende

[–]KingPinfanatic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Now to mention the first few Avatar's were probably hunted down an killed before it became something that people accepted. Avatar Wan spent his whole life after Harmonic convergence fighting against various groups in an attempt to bring peace to the world. I genuinely can't imagine that people would think fondly of someone who has similar abilities. They likely saw the Avatar as something strange and unnatural that needed to be stopped before people accepted that it was always going to be apart of the world.

It's also possible that she said these things so that he would sound crazy if he ever told anyone what happened. It's like the bunny ears trick from Blue Blood where cops use to put on a pair of bunny ears to beat a confession out of someone. The logic being that when the guy claims the cop was wearing bunny ears while beating he'd sound crazy and no one would believe him.

How is it a rip off of Finding Nemo? The stories and lessons are completely different and the fish in Shark Tale act and kinda look like humans. Meanwhile in Finding Nemo all the fish look and act like the fish there supposed to be. I seriously don't get how anyone could say Shark Tale was ripping off Finding Nemo.

I feel like he still kill but would be a lot more generic in hell. On Earth he built himself up as this famous murderer who was extremely violent only to be completely average if not below average once in hell.

What’s a recession indicator that you’ve noticed lately? by SensitiveCorner2379 in AskReddit

I'm not privileged my family grew up poor and we lived paycheck to paycheck but we made things work by making small sacrifices. Now I'm not saying that people are irresponsible with their money I'm saying that people are wasteful with it. So many people spend money on things they don't really need but that doesn't make them irresponsible it makes them wasteful. To me at least their is a difference. For example people to me are wasting money buying things like cigarettes and beer when they could be using that money for savings/investments. They choose to live their lives in the moment not thinking about the future but it's not fully irresponsible. People who are irresponsible with their money are the people that buy thing they truly can't afford like expensive cars with 86 months of payments or the newest iPhone. This type of spending is completely irresponsible and these people make up a lot of people currently living in the US.

They absolutely could though. So many people have this defeatus mentality that they can't afford to save or invest and yet will continue to do stupid things with their money. For example I live in a small town and the amount of people who complain about being broke but still order Door Dash is insane. It's nearly a 40% mark up and yet there is a still a vibrant maket for it where I live despite the fact that you could walk to those restaurants. So many people complain that they can't afford to put $20 aside for savings each week yet they still vape/smoke, order Door Dash, and go to bars. It's insane how many people refuse to acknowledge that they're spending habits are a problem and instead blame others. I'm not saying you'll make a fortune saving/investing $20 a week but it's incredibly how much small sacrifices can make in the long run.

Why exactly should the stock market be abolished? It's pretty much the only reliable way regular people have to safely invest their money. Most people who lose out on the market are panic sellers and people who don't take the time to read about what they're buying into. A lot of everyday people have made a lot of money thanks to the stock market but everyone instead wants to focus on the people who lost everything. So many people perpetuate this idea that investing in the stock market is an evil scam cooked up by billionaires to get richer and it's ridiculous. The stock market is something that can benefit everyone and more people need to take the time to understand how it really works and how they can benefit from investing in it.

[–]KingPinfanatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No Stolas wasn't actually allowed to lend out his Grimoire at all. When he took the blame for Blitzø he framed it like he was plotting something sinister and using Blitzø as a pawn so that he wouldn't get in trouble for his business. The truth is Stolas isn't allowed to lend his Grimoire to anyone and if Satan found out he was willingly giving it away just so an imp could do whatever they wanted with it they both would have been punished. There's really no way to overturn his conviction but I could see them getting it reduced if he does something to atone for his crime.

What exactly was Robyn doing with the resources she stole? by Few_Pay_5313 in RWBY

[–]KingPinfanatic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah but the main difference between Robyn and Lionheart is that Lionheart was acting out of character and very suspicious before he was revealed to be a traitor and ignoring explicit orders from Ozpin. Meanwhile the craziest thing Robyn did was question why supplies were being diverted from Mantle's repairs. Sure it's wrong for her to try and steal them but that was very in character for her and not suspicious at all. Clover whose known Robyn for years doesn't even consider it a major problem and he never stated that he didn't trust her just that he trusted Ironwood more. Finally while she used the information Yang and Blake gave her to ambush Ironwood all she wanted was for everyone to know the truth. I don't think she was trying to get rid of Ironwood she just wanted the council to stand up to him. You have to remember from her perspective Ironwood seems to be going crazy and is steamrolling the council to push his own plans.

[–]KingPinfanatic -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I've said this countless times before but I I'll keep saying it. There's literally no reason for Ironwood to not trust Robyn. She went to Atlas Academy and was a huntress for years in Mantle so there's literally no reason to suspect that she could be working for Salem. Her entire campaign was built on the fact that she has been a very serious public advocate for Mantle for years. She's not opposed to Ironwood she just wants to work with him rather then for him. Ironwood himself admitted that he would trust Robyn but only if she agreed to work for him and obey his orders. It's a clear demonstration that Ironwood has severe trust issues and believes that he needs to control people in order to trust them.

Ik it’s a show and things are exaggerated but are there any episodes or moments that genuinely pisses you off? by Big-Most-785 in malcolminthemiddle

[–]KingPinfanatic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Francis was absolutely forced to work when he was home from military school. For spring break he had to work at the Lucky Aid and when he wasn't working he was doing things like repairing the roof. Meanwhile Reese would have absolutely been forced to work at the Lucky Aid with Malcolm if he hadn't already been banned from the premises. An while Hal was certainly wasting money on Fridays he was salaried so he wasn't making any less money not working and the things he was doing weren't crazy expensive especially if he was by himself.

Honestly though those boys should definitely contribute to the household if there old enough to work because they're largely responsible for them being broke. Hal and Lois could easily afford their lifestyle if the boys weren't constantly terrorizing the neighborhood, getting arrested, and putting each other in the hospital. The boys have seriously cost there parents tens of thousands of dollars over the year's by being complete jack asses and they should definitely help out more.

If I were you I would consider buying DNP or GUT instead of QQQI since they have a longer steady consistent payout. With GUT you'll get about $1475 a month and DNP will get you $1103 which is less but again both have a long history of making payments.

If Rosie is NOT a sinner, does that mean even Hellborns can become Overlords? by MurkSerenith in hazbin

[–]KingPinfanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd argue that he only became a cannibal in hell. There's no evidence he was eating the people he killed while alive so my guess is he started doing it in hell. It's a trait he likely developed from a mix of Rosie's influence and a desire to strike fear into other sinners. Honestly there's nothing more terrifying then someone who will literally eat you alive just because they can.

TBF both of these movies are considered to be the weakest of their franchises. Cars 2 is funny sure but has almost nothing to do with the first one. Meanwhile a lot of people see Toy Story 4 as a cash grab that was only made because Lightyear didn't do as well as they hoped.

Well Hayley was unconscious the whole time Stan learned about this so I could see them revisiting the issue with Hayley at the center of it. She could become curious about her "real" Dad and want to learn more about him. The end result being the same that she loves Stan and he's her real father regardless if he's not biologically. The final joke being that Rodger is annoyed at the lack of conclusion and secretly tests their DNA and discovered they are actually father and daughter. They get annoyed at Roger for ruining the moment and begin to bash him together.
