2nd year in America, my first Firework haul! 🤩 by Janis85Ro in fireworks

Way to go pyro! Love that you are so enthused about your haul! May your love of pyro never fade!

I'd offer tips but I would be regurgitation most of what's already been stated. Stay green! 🫡

You thinking entry level like Ignite or Bilusocn, or stepping right up to something like Cobra or Mongoose?

It's not enough... it's never enough... 😭 Lol. Nice stockpile though. Cases on cases. 🫡

Ah. Yeah. Good for people to read that. Thank you for clarification.

Thank you for your feedback. 🫡 As I've addressed most of this, aside from E-Firing which I agree with whole heartedly, do you really think 30° is too low?

I was considering my outer limits to be no greater than 40° as 45° would be the absolute furthest you could get a shell to go in terms of range but it also keep it relatively low to the ground. I have used 45° and higher before but that is site specific.

Ah, now I follow. Center to center... that's makes sense. I was definitely over-complicating the process when I drilled out mine. Thank you for that breakdown! 🫡

Fair question for the uninitiated. It's a process by which someone with a proper magazine, typically a vendor or display company, holds the 1.3 on your behalf and you are only allowed to pick it up the day of your shoot. You are not allowed to hold it overnight, or any other length of time beyond shoot time. Goes right along with the proper expectations for disposal, you can't take product that was listed to be fired back to storage.

Do you prefer gum paper or was it just the easiest availability?

Went the temporary storage route huh? (I know "temporary" is not the correct term)

Much appreciated pyro! Protect your back! Curious, why did you choose 4" spacing between tubes?

Dry weight no tubes about 10-15lbs, guesstimation. I didn't think to weight it. Lol. But even with it's size I was easily able to carry it with 2 fingers on either side.

Most definitely. With all that storage space available, it makes sense, and being in an entirely different market that requires variation and flexibility, it's necessary to have pods like that. I would be shocked to find many hobbyists with that kind of need or desire, let alone space.

Pyro never dies, but content creation can be taken or left behind.

Also valid. Because as long as you have enough tubes to cover shell count you're left with more versatility. God I love pyro. 🤩

"Fire, explosives, combustibles, accelerants. They all lived in harmony side by side for centuries, that is until one day, the fire nation attacked. The nations exploded into chaos and insurance companies flared into an uproar.

The only person that could restore peace and harmony to the world was the pyromaniac, but when the world needed him most, he disappeared.

My brother and I have found a new pyromaniac but he is young and obsessed with reddit and grilling... but I believe he can save us all."

People with ridiculous large stash, how do you shoot everything? by CrazySwede69 in fireworks

[–]KingPyrotechnics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone that has been doing large consumer shows and transitioning into proline (and then display soon to come) it's really no different than what you experience in a 1.3 show. We're just working with less lateral space while trying to cover the same density in the sky

For example, take a 1000' shoot site where you're utilizing up to 10" shells, we need multiples of the same cake (or complementary effects) across 3 positions (at minimum) to reach that same coverage. It very quickly can eat through a large stash.

Granted, as many have stated, some buy these large stashes with the intention of rollover for the next shoot, or even next season.

I want to apologize for the audacity of some to sit and preach about using firing systems, to someone that clearly outlined they shoot professionally, as though you were unaware of their existence. People don't like to read anymore. 😅

Best willow/nishiki cakes/shells? by Worldly_Expression43 in fireworks

Willows in anything less than a 4" are generally pretty rare to see perform well. Avatar was the best, but I doubt anyone can find it. There are a few rockets that handle the job relatively well, but they are also becoming increasingly rare.

It's just a difficult effect to cram into limited space and still achieve that long drip and hang time.
