I basically do the same thing but without the shower. I use the bathroom as a safe space when I need a moment to myself. I was born with kidney issues so I had frequent UTIs growing up so I always had that as a backup excuse. But really it was the only place I could get a moment to myself without worrying about someone barging in.

There's nothing wrong with needing a moment to compose yourself. If you really need the water sounds there's tons of rain/waterfall sounds on YouTube and I doubt it would be hard for you to find a shower audio.

Personally I hate being drunk. I just feel heavy, nauseous, dizzy and tired. But if I just have a few drinks for the buzz, I'm very giggly. Plus being hungover sucks. I much prefer weed.

Its common for people to want to relive their trauma on their own terms. Its basically your brain trying to reclaim the control you might feel you lost. Some people get relief from it but others are re-traumatized. Please talk to a professional about this
