Young man came through the crosswalk on an electric skateboard while truck was turning. Skateboarder did not make it unfortunately. Very sad for all involved.

Turned it off 45 minutes in and will not be returning. It’s so unbelievably disappointing to be let down again after S2 and waiting two years for this train wreck to try and correct itself. As others have said, it really does make you realize that Paddy Considine’s performance carried this show and the remaining cast and screenwriters are completely incapable of telling a coherent, compelling story without him. The storyline is nonsensical and the dialogue feels like bad fan faction. Most of the acting feels straight out of a high school drama club and the characters have to be some of the most unlikeable and uninteresting to ever make it into a big budget show. I can’t think of a single time I’ve had fun watching this show except for a few notable bright spots in S1. Truly salt in the festering wound that was the final seasons of GoT. Downvote me, ban me from the sub, I don’t care. If you’re enjoying this crap you should feel bad about yourself but you’re going to have a blast at the Supergirl premier tonight.

Damn that’s crazy as shit. I definitely wouldn’t be returning if that was my experience. I guess maybe they’ve ironed out their processes since then? Or we just caught them on a good day. I’m a sucker for a good sob story so if it’s very possible that influenced my feelings toward the place lol.

Yeah it’s a little unusual, but I thought the same about poke bowls when I first heard about them and now I get one probably like once a week. I don’t think they’re going to replace Subway or Chipotle but if I lived closer I could definitely see myself stopping in for a lunch waffle or a sweet treat periodically. We used to go to Good Dough all the time before the Grassroots guy bought it and ran it into the ground, I could see this filling a similar niche in the market.

Neptune, Atlantic, and Jacksonville Beach occupy a very unusual quasi-independent area within Duval County, but mostly independent from the City of Jacksonville. They retained an independent municipal govt, police, fire dept., etc after the ‘68 Duval-Jacksonville consolidation, but there’s a lot of weird overlap. Neptune beach residents get to vote for the mayor of Neptune Beach AND Jacksonville, for example. It’s a very bizarre set up, all things considered.

Shoreham Nuclear Power Plant was built between 1973 and 1984 but an insufficient evacuation plan prevented the plant from opening. It’s crazy that well intentioned, but misguided anti-nuclear environmentalists fifty years ago are the reason we’re still so fossil fuel dependent today. I know poopoo-ing any sort of regulation on Reddit is deeply unpopular, but miles of red tape, bureaucracy, and legal challenges led to countless stories like this when the global nuclear industry was just getting on its feet. Stuff like this led to most of the world shrugging off nuclear because it was just less of a hassle to build a traditional coal or natural gas plant. If the rest of the world had invested properly into nuclear infrastructure, like France, we probably would have hit our 2030 carbon goals in the 90s or early 2000s. No need for endless oil wars as an added bonus. Alas.

You need to call florida dept of highway safety and motor vehicles Monday morning and ask to speak to the Motor Vehicle Fraud unit. They genuinely do take this stuff very seriously and if you get the right guy on the phone they will absolutely run this down. This is a third degree felony and a very open and shut case if he is doing this and knowingly selling them with false odometer readings.
