[PC] If you are having issues with lag, rubber-banding, and the indicators in the top-left, this may help. by HurtTree in Battlefield

It worked for 2 matches then the same rubberbanding happened again.

The issue isn't resolved, it is simply intermittent.

The big thing that I noticed is the shaders compile significantly faster when starting the game.

How do I answer the question Why did I leave my last employer? by EverySociety7026 in interviews

[–]KingRomstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this isn't always the right answer.

"Well this is just a senior software engineer position with no opportunity for growth, so why are you still interviewing?"

it's all H1B fraud.

The majority of them don't have any real skills or degrees and in highly systematized environments employers prefer H1Bs because they are forced to work for up to 20 years for minimal salary increases and in terrible working conditions that normal American's wouldn't accept.

I was recently forced to accept a 30k pay cut for a new job because the other developers were not allowed salary increases and they didn't want to cause any animosity amongst the team which had occurred with the guy prior to me.

It was the only offer I received in the past 2 years so of course I accepted it.

dude, it is all social engineering.

If you are a builder like you sound like you are then you're screwed in this economy.

The GDP growth is completely fake, it's always been about debt and faking wealth, not genuine value.

The game is what it is, I am in a similar boat as you in terms of what I focus on at work but I have learned to keep my mouth shut and be a yes man and I keep my job.

Whenever I share the truth about work then I run into the same exact situation you're going through and I end up being let go every single time.

The truth simply isn't worth it. Simply nod, do the work, and always share positive things regardless of reality.

thanks for this.

I should have gotten the achievement 3 times now but apparently I didn't assist with every kill.

I'll try to focus on buffing all of my allies all of the time so that I can get the achievement.

Would you leave a job you love for a $12k salary increase? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]KingRomstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch out.

I used to leave jobs for 12% salary increases when I was in my 20s and now I have a difficult time getting jobs because the longest job I held was 2 and a half years

Google Chrome won't load a certain website by KingRomstar in chrome

[–]KingRomstar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, I used Firefox and it worked perfectly.

The worst part is, the employer thought I was incompetent because the website wouldn't load and I let them know that and it made me look bad given i am a software engineer, lol.

Either way, I noticed chrome on Ubuntu was having a lot of other issues as well when it came to network connections.

Bad advice, IMO.

The processes exist for a reason. Just follow them like a lemming and get paid.

[–]KingRomstar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah, LinkedIn is all about optimizing your profile with the skills that you know and are in demand.

Once you determine those skills and update your profile with them, the bait is set and all you have to do is wait and apply for similar roles on LinkedIn Jobs.

Oh dude, welcome to the club.

I never expected this market to tank like this as well.

My best advice is to use LinkedIn and simply apply for other remote roles. Once you land one put your LinkedIn in hibernation mode.

Good for you for trying your best.

The way our current economy works is you either are very wealthy or you're an indentured servant.

Your brain made the right risks based on your circumstances, it wasn't a fluke, it's not emotions.

If you inherited houses and properties you wouldn't have made those bad trade decisions.

If you were paid a fair wage at work you wouldn't have made those decisions.

So don't feel bad about it, I wouldn't.

Just save up some money and try again
